I measure myself same time of day, and the weight seems correct, but the body fat seems inaccurate. When I first got Aria 2 it had me down for 23% body fat, and that seemed right. Then I weighed myself a week later, and although I lost weight, I went up to 25%. I didn’t think much of it because people can gain fat and lose muscle when losing weight. Then I weighed myself a few days later and my body fat was 28.9%. There is no way that is true. I already tried switching between lean mode and regular mode, but nothing changed. Why did it increase my body fat so much? Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Not just the body fat is not accurate, the weight also is. The differences between days even hours are high! As an example, my log for this week:
Mon: 53.9 kg 25.5% fat
Tue at 5:58: 53.8 kg 25.4% fat
Tue at 7:47: 54.2 kg 25.3% fat
Wed: 53.2 kg 25.1% fat
Thu: 53.7 kg 25.1% fat
Fri: 53.8 kg 25.2% fat
Sat: 53.8 kg 25.3% fat
Sun: 54.3 kg 25.5% fat
The same happen to other users on the scale, it its not accurate at all.

This variation in body weight looks very normal.
I always weigh in underwear to keep consistency. - just adding a pair of jeans adds 0.8kg.
If you drink 3 mugs of tea (or any liquid) that's 1kg ! I've put on 1.5kg just eating one really big meal !. Conversely, you could will obviously lose close to the corresponding weight when you poo or wee !
So, ultimately, unless you weigh yourself at exactly the same time every day and eat and drink the same amount each day at the same times AND evacuate your bowels and bladder on a very rigid schedule - it's impossible to get a instantaneous picture of true weight loss/gain. If you weigh first thing in the morning, before eating, in the same clothes, after going to the toilet (if necessary) then I imagine you should be able to get an accuracy within +-0.3kg. Basically it's more about looking at trends (or average weight) over a period of days.

I appreciate your assistance but this solution hasn’t helped any folks here that I’ve seen. Does Aria have any other solutions for this? This feels more like a defect than so many random people doing anything wrong. And the posters are from years ago—to now. Can you tell us what the issue is?

Same problem - with a very wide margin. Physical at Doctor show 11.5% body fat. Aria 2 says 23. Is the Aria really just that wrong??! Based on this thread, it seems so.

Thanks for posting your DEXA results.
I don’t care if that post is 4+ years old now.
It’s still hard to find real world comparisons of Aria output to benchmark measurements.

I weighed myself twice this morning, once when I got up, once after I showered. The weight was a few tenths’ different; the BF% changed by 12.6%. Maybe I should just shower more often. 🙄
