Aria 2 - No Networks Found

Like so many before me, I've read through the older posts on this topic, did my own research, tried every link and suggestion, and just got off a chat with Google support. And still my Aria 2 scale can't find any wi-fi networks. I currently have 4 networks available, not to mention all of my neighbor's networks that come up.

I have a Gateway 6E router and a TP-Link extender. I have numerous personal devices connected at 2.4 and 5 GHz, including old devices such as a 2nd gen Echo dot and a wi-fi compatible Canon printer released in 2013! They're all connected to wi-fi and working just fine.

The Aria 2 sets up with the Fitbit app on my iPhone with no problem, but when it comes to wi-fi it constantly tells me "Something went wrong. Please try again later." or, less frequently, "No networks found. Check your wi-fi connection, then try again".

I've done the "remove batteries, hold button" reset countless times.

Finally, I dug out my old Airport Express and connected it via ethernet to my TP-Link extender. I connected my iPhone to the old wi-fi network and tried again... and again... and still the Aria 2 won't find any networks.

I'm trying all these things based on research I'm finding but I won't pretend I fully understand all this 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz stuff... and I am VERY open to more suggestions!

The scale works manually, only giving me weight, no body fat readings. It connects by bluetooth so easily I wish it didn't need wi-fi, but here we are.

I'm hoping SOMEBODY found a fix for this common problem and can help me get this working! Thank you!

No guarantees. I spent weeks trying to get this fixed. I think for me it was using an iPhone instead of my Android phone. But that doesn't apply to you. My suggestion...

Try removing the scales from your Fitbit account / app. Then trying again.

Try another mobile phone to set it up.

If it still fails get Google to replace them under Consumer Guarantees... Seems to be a widely reported problem.
