Hello, I bought the Aria 2 scales for my birthday this year and have been excercising and eating healthy home cooked meals each day. Its almost been two weeks now since I have been weighing myself and although I am losing weight through my efforts, the fat mass percentage goes up each day.
Am I not doing something right perhaps with my meals and/or exercises. I feel good and cravings for sweets and fatty foods are hardly there. In fact I look forward to doing different activities each day like walking faster, riding my bike or even jogging. Also I include floor exercises too.
I drink enough water through the day and my sleep aswell as my fitness levels are improving. Just don't know why the fat levels increase each day. Can someone please give me some guidance on this. Thank you so much in advance. Kind regards, Stella:)

I think there is something off with whatever algorithm they use to calculate the body fat %. But in general it is possible that your healthier lifestyle is leading to more or less water in the body which causes the body fat % to go down or up.
I say there is something off with the calculation because I did a challenge where I couldn't weigh myself for 30 days and I lost 14 lbs during that 30 days. It says my body fat % increased slightly. I didn't lose 14 lbs of water weight and I definitely didn't lose 14 lbs of muscle. When I look at the Lean vs Fat graph over the past 30 days it says all I lost was Lean body weight. That just isn't realistic.
But like you I am looking for some more insight on this because I know that the body fat % isn't entirely accurate on at home scales and all I was hoping for was general trends but it doesn't even look like the general trends are accurate.

Hi @brett9897 and thanks for your thoughts on the way the scales may or may not work. I am continuing to combine healthy food with excercise and hopefully I'll begin to see a decrease in the fat levels soon.
I pray that all goes well for you too. I guess we need to persevere and not give up.
Kind regards, Stella:)
