Aria 2 displayed weight always .1 higher than synced weight

Hi! I've had the Aria 2 scale for a while now and this has happened pretty much the entire time but I never thought about the fact that it might be a bug.

Say I step on the scale, and it says I weigh 175.2. When I later look in my Fitbit app, it has recorded 175.1. Another day, it'll say 173.6, and then the app will say 173.5. It's always 0.1 higher on the scale itself than what gets sent to the app. I don't believe this happens with the fat percentage.

Any thoughts? Not a huge deal, since it's consistent, just peculiar.

Thanks!

@Organica Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit app doesn't show the same numbers as they appeared on your Aria itself. Please make sure that your phone has the most recent app version installed. If so, please try logging out of the app, restart your phone, open the app and log in. After this, weigh yourself 5 times in a row and see if the readings are the same on your Fitbit app as they are on the Aria itself.

Keep me posted on the outcome! Smiley Happy

Hi again! Unfortunately, even after following those directions, I'm still
seeing different numbers. Here's the data:

145.6 17.9% on scale -> 145.5 17.8% on app (-0.1 lb, -0.1%)
145.6 18.2% on scale -> 145.5 18.1% on app (-0.1 lb, -0.1%)
145.6 18.2% on scale -> 145.6 18.1% on app (-0 lb, -0.1%)
145.5 18.2% on scale -> 145.4 18.2% on app (-0.1 lb, -0%)
145.5 18.0% on scale -> 145.4 17.9% on app (-0.1 lb, -0.1%)

I changed the whole number of pounds to 145 for privacy but all other
numbers are accurate as displayed.

Any other suggestions as to how to fix?

Thanks!

Hi there! A followup that I just discovered - recently (for whatever reason), my scale has been weighing me in as a guest. In the app, I see my weight recorded as 170 (or whatever). As soon as I switch that reading from GUEST to me, I also see the number go from 170 to 169.9. Perhaps it's something weird with my account itself?

@Organica I appreciate the information you provided about the behavior that your app has when switching the "Guest" weigh in to your user.

I'd like you to try setting up your Aria 2 from scratch. Please follow the instructions listed in this help article. After this, check out if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

Unfortunately, it still looks like the amounts are changing as before, even
after a reset... Given that they change when added to my specific Fitbit
profile, couldit be an issue with the profile, not the scale?

@Organica and @JuanJoFitbit, what was the final disposition of this issue? I’m having the exact same problem. The weight recorded on the app is one-tenth pound less than the scale indicates. All the remedies you’ve suggested don’t work.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I'm still going back and forth with the support team, but will let you know as soon as there's a resolution! They're having me calibrate the scale right now again, as Juan noted above so maybe it'll work this time? I'm still seeing the issue though.

@JuanJoFitbit, that would be fine if customer support opens a ticket for my case, but they should first focus on resolving @Organica‘s case before attempting to dedicate cycles on me. There’s no sense grasping at straws on two cases with the same issue. Solve one first, then use that knowledge to apply to the other. In the grand scheme of things, this is a very minor issue I can live with. 🙂 Thanks.

This same is is happening for me using a RENPHO Bluetooth scale.  App records weight .1 lbs less than scale shows and scale app records.

Hi, was this ever solved? I have the exact same problem. Doesn’t bother me too much as it’s consistent and so small but would be interested in a fix if there is one.

They got back to me via email when I reached out again - unfortunately not with a solution. I'll follow up there as well and report back!

Latest response - sounds like it's pretty low priority, but maybe still on their radar? Maybe.:
