Aria 2 does no longer connect once removed

I’ll get to point.

I connected Aria2 to my iPhone 6+, iOS 12.3.1, started my readings, but didn’t get that with tapping with foot relative to check mark or x. I maybe tapped the wrong foot unknowingly and so ended up with no more readings for my profile. All of them became “guest” since.

Removed the scales and tried to set it up again. No chance.

The app gets to the point where it tries to find the scales and I still have the wheel spinning even after several minutes waiting.

Family’s second iPhone, 8+, iOS 12.3.2, still has the same scales connected - even if it never recognizes my wife.

So it’s “guest” for her, too.

Just to be clear:

same scales

same wifi

two iPhones with last iOS each

Did everything in your suggestions elsewhere here’s in the forum, including dumping all Bluetooth devices - which isn’t unheard of, let me say.

No success.

See that you thank everyone for joining here.

Well, could you thank me by answering why all this bothering for connecting a WiFi device?

We have 23 of them.

NO ONE has ever given this much trouble. Ever.

Hi @Italop, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for sharing detailed information about your Aria 2 behavior, as well for the steps that you've tried to get it connected. Usually when this happens, it's related to a change in your WiFi configuration. To verify that everything is still correct, please confirm the following:

  • Both the network name and password must be no more than 32 characters long.
  • You're using WEP / WPA / WPA2 personal security.
  • The router's frequency setting is 802.11b/g/n under 2.4GHz.
  • You're not using any firewalls or MAC filtering.
  • The Fitbit app is updated to 3.1 version.
  • Do you see any error message on the scale or on the Fitbit app?

About your other inquiry, we required to turn off the Bluetooth from other devices to prevent any interference since the setup process is via Bluetooth. Thanks for making sure of this. Although you've tried other steps prior posting, if you've not done so please try restarting the scale by removing all the batteries for 15 seconds, place the Aria 2 within 10 feet from the router and try the setup process one more time.

Now, regarding to your wife not being recognized by the other scale, I'd recommend to verify that her personal information is correct in the Fitbit app, restart the scale by removing all the batteries for 15 seconds, and calibrate it by weighing 3 times, making sure to reassign each "guest" weight back to her. The Aria 2 should recognize her by her 3rd weigh in.

Let me know how it goes.
