I hadn’t weighed myself for some time and had gained a lot of weight. When I weighed in again it registered as guest probably due to the weight gain, however when I go to the recent weigh ins there are no records for guest so I cannot assign it to me.
I updated my weight with a manual entry and now my scales recognise me again most of the time. I still get the occasional guest weigh in but it doesn’t appear in recent weigh ins.
I’ve force closed the app. I’ve removed the battery from the scales ive deleted the scales and added them again but guest is never recorded.
what’s the fix for this please?

Following this thread. I am here to ask the same question. I’m having the exact same issue even after trouble shooting. Hope someone can help us out here.

It seems nobody in the community can answer this one for me.
can anyone tell me how I ask the questions to Fitbit support as everything seems to point me back to these self help pages.

Same issue.. previously you could amend the guest entry by deleting the username "guest" and replacing it with your initials. After two or three times Fitbit would realise it was you. Since Google has taken over, Guest entries are no longer recorded, so you cannot amend them.
I have tried everything, resets, re-instals etc... and I have manually recorded the guest entries under my name about a dozen times but still, it will not recognise me. I have also tried tapping left when "guest" shows on display in an effort to change it... but I`m guessing that feature is only available on the Aria 2.
Why is it that everything Google touches seems to turn to rat sh*t?

I got a message on my Aria 2 that it was no longer supported. I bought a new Aria believing it was a newer model and they are down scale crap - simple scale and doesn't sync unless you have the app open at the time of weighin.seems like google have abandoned that part of the fitbit portfolio. It’s quite telling that they dont bother answering community questions about it either.

@Jefferzz It is my understanding that Fitbit removed Guest weights from the app, because user data isn't as private as Fitbit claimed. The records of all other invited users was removed, too. An 8 lb weight difference is supposed to trigger a Guest weight. You wrote that your scale recognizes you some of the time. If it never recognized you, I was going to suggest removing the scale and setting it up as a new device. This comes with risks, like it might not set up.
My scale makes me a Guest fo no apparent reason. I can get it to recognize me by weighing myself with socks on. I get a head with a question mark icon. When I step off, I see my icon and can accept or reject that weight. I have to weigh myself again in bare feet to get recognized.
@dippigit You mentioned initials. The original Aria gave initials, again not very private. My workaround seems to work for an Aria 2, but not an Aria. Sorry, I can't help you.
@AD65 I haven't seen any other reports of a user getting a message on a scale saying it isn't supported. Very strange. It sounds like you bought an Aria Air. Yes it is a simple scale. Users complain about the app syncing. I have an Aria Air, too. I'm with them as I don't bring my phone into my bathroom.
