Aria 2 not assigning weigh ins accordingly

Packed up the unit within 24 hours of purchase and returned it. Initially I had no problem setting up the scale and registering weigh ins to my account. Problems and frustration started when I tried, and tried and tried to add my wife. No matter how many times we tried the unit refused to recognize her as anything but Guest. We tried everything noted in these forums with no help - Guest, Guest, Guest, Guest and Guest.

The final straw was when it started logging my weigh ins as Guest as well.  What?

Something this expensive shouldn’t be so stupid. It’s not rocket science to calculate weight, body mass and sync results to an account.  But appears Fitbit engineers wanted to go the difficult route.

@dck2004 welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear about the weight assignment that you experienced with the Aria 2. I'm also sorry to hear that you ended up returning it due to the issue.

I totally understand how frustrating this was and I appreciate your feedback and comments since this helps us to keep improving.

I'll be around if any question arises.

I have this exact same problem and my sister who i've invited to use to scale isn't even recognised by the scale.

After weighing on the scale, the word GUEST appears instead of her selected icon and we've had to manually assign the weight to her profile. Is this how its supposed to work? Isn't the scale supposed to recognize different users? So far it is only able to recognize me. I've got this for less than a day and its such a fustrating experience. If this isn't working out im going to return it soon.

@Samchua95 thank you for joining us in this thread! I'm happy to assist you with your Aria 2 since it's not recognizing your sister's user.

I'd lke you to check out this help article which explains why the Aria 2 can recognize a user as a "Guest" and how to troubleshoot this issue. After trying this workaround, monitor your scale for the next 24 hours and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀

Yeah, we tried steps in the article.  Scale is just inconsistent.  Recognized me about 1 out of 3 times and never recognized the wife. And realize there is 100 pound difference between our weights. I bought the scale for the apparent ease of tracking our weight over time.  Ended up being a source of frustration, which we don’t need, so returned it.
