So I last used my scale well over a year ago. I changed wifi, and the batteries died.
Today I went to get all set up again. Inserted batteries and tried to get connected to the wifi. The scales scanned, found my router but wouldn't connect; at one point I was sitting beside the router and still nothing.
I deleted the scales from my account and then couldn't pair them back again. I tried about five times and was finally able to reconnect to the app. But the wifi still wouldn't connect.
Did a factory reset. Now I can't connect to the app again. Okay, managed to connect, but still no luck with my wifi. Repeat factory reset. Can connect to app first time, but now my app/scales aren't even scanning for the wifi. I just keep getting a message saying there was a wifi problem. This is the stage in the process where the app tells you to press the button on the back of the scale.
I tried the button anyway, and it's not even bringing up the wifi symbol on the little screen, it's just switching between the scrolling banner of go to Fitbit.com/setup and the version number the scales are on when I press it.
Fitbit are of no help at all. They wanted me to turn off the router but the scales aren't even scanning; it's obviously an issue with the scales, particularly combined with the pairing to the app problems.
Anyone else having this problem?

This is happening to me too. The device isn’t being recognised to connect it to Wi-Fi.

I had a Google and it seems to be a known issue with this version. Funny enough, new scales don't use wifi modules now....

I meet same problem, but I have solved this problem.
it's app's problem, we need find a Android phone, and download a old version of Fitbit app(I have chosen a version released in 2021)
Afterwards, using the old version APP to pair the Aria 2 and connect to WiFi

I have found the level of customer service has gone to **ahem** since google took over fitbit
