Aria 2 only syncing as "GUEST"

I have had my Aria scale for a year now. For the past few months I have had issues with WiFi and it has not been connected. I have now been able to connect it to WiFi. Every time I step on it gives me my weight but no BMI and only ever says GUEST. I have seen the article about when the scale isn't sure who it is and you tap your right foot on your symbol but I'm not getting that option at all. It says the weight, GUEST and goes to sleep.

I am the only profile on the scale so it can't be getting me confused with somebody else. I have done a complete reset, removed my profile from the scale and added it again with the same result.

I bought an Aria 2 new in October.  My wife and I set up our own fitbit accounts, setup the wifi then connected them to the scale and even then it took about 2-3 days of my wife and I doing multiple weigh-ins being recognized as guests before it "remembered" us.  I am not sure why this happens, but ours just corrected itself after 2-3 days and has worked perfectly ever since.

Thanks for your reply. I'll see what happens over the next few days.

You were absolutely right. Today it recognizes me, even though I've put on all those Christmas kilos!

Glad I could help - actually it was based on a tip I read here a few months ago.

I have noticed that there are many frustrations with Fitbit products, their documentation is very poor or outdated and the method of updating firmware is not at all intuitive.  If I hadn't got the answers here on this forum from other regular users then I probably would have returned some of my fitbit products by now..
