Aria 2 "An error occurred, please try again later" Wi-Fi problem

I am trying to set-up my Aria 2. The problem is that the Aria 2 cannot see any wifi networks. (Yes my network is 802.11b and 2.4GHz, so this is not a problem with my wifi network; rather, this is a problem with the Aria's ability to see the available networks.)

I am using my phone to do the set-up. (Yes my Nexus 5X is one of the approved phones.)

Within the Fitbit app, on the "Wi-Fi Setup" menu (sub-title "Update network connection"), on the "Select network" page, I can't see any networks, and instead the error message "An error occurred, please try again later" pops up on the bottom of the screen three or four times in a row, and then the menu exits of its own accord to a "Not working?" page. (Yes I have tried again later, several times, on two different days, to no avail. Yes I have tried removing the batteries and waiting 10 seconds. Yes I have tried reinstalling my Fitbit app and clearing its cache. Yes I have tried factory resetting the Aria. I have done all the standard troubleshooting pieces of advice. Additionally, I chatted with a support representative, and they were not able to solve my problem.)

What does this Fitbit app error message "An error occurred, please try again later" mean???

Did you fix it? I've got the same problem. I've just moved into a new apt and my wifi setup is changed. I've tried 5GHz and normal 2.4GHz connections on my phone while I have been connected with Bluetooth to the aria 2

Was there any solution to this? I just changed my hub and aria has this exact problem trying to set up. I'm out of ideas for things to try!!

No there was never any solution! I just kept resetting the batteries every day, and eventually one day it magically worked. I wish I knew what the problem was!

I guess I'll just keep trying this as well!!

It only supports 2.4Ghz. I had to remove it from the app and re-add it. I was not able to "just reconnect". I don't remember if I used my tablet or phone either.. so if you have another device, try that one as well

I've tried turning off the 5Ghz (so only 2.4Ghz on) on router but it still didn't work. I'd also removed and re-added the scale from my fitbit app on phone with no joy.  Finds the scales but then just error over and over when trying to find network.
