Aria 2 shows inaccurate body fat %

Hi I set my Aria 2 back to factory settings as it would not recognise my user and since then it has increased my body fat percentage drastically. Before the reset the scales read that I was 11.2% but are now reading 18.8%, I dont see how this can be possible over one day. I have tried recalibrating them with no joy.

Hi @Kaiser93. Welcome! It's great to have you on board! I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks for the troubleshooting steps that you've tried prior posting, let's work on this together! As you may know there are some factors that may affect how your scale records your readings. That being said, please make sure of the following conditions:

  • You are standing still on your scale with dry and bare feet.
  • The scale surface isn't wet or foggy. You can wipe down the surface with a damp cloth.
  • The scale is also placed on a hard-flat surface and not on carpets.

Once that is done, I'd recommend to give a try to the next steps:

  1. Restart your Aria 2 by removing all the batteries for 15 seconds and inserting them back.
  2. Go to your fitbit.com dashboard and login.
  3. Click on the gear icon and then on "Aria 2" from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click on People > your name and switch the body type. Weigh once to save the changes.
  5. Switch back the body type and weigh 4 times consecutively to calibrate the scale. The scale should then recognized you and save your readings.

Let me know how everything goes.
