I can't get my aria2 to connect to a network. I've moved house and have a plusnet one router. I've tried turning off 5GHz. I get to the finding networks screen, get a 'there's a problem try again later' flash up and that's it. I deleted the aria2 and re added, it synced briefly but now back to no WiFi on the scale.

I had your issue after renaming our Wi-Fi network. As an aside we have a router that used a signal that had both 5GHz and 2.4GHz allowing the hardware to select whichever channel it preferred but I had to set up one for each frequency (?) because our smart light bulbs only work with a dedicated 2.4GHz channel!
Every time the app setup looked for a network I immediately for the message "An error has occurred, please try again later" and then it jumped to another screen that was not relevant to my scales. I also tried adding the network name and password manually and got the same result.
I tried getting support from Fitbit but I kept coming back to the fact that it must be an issue with the app rather than with the scales. So, I uninstalled the app, then reinstalled it and the setup worked perfectly (although I had to do this whilst next to the router, despite a very strong signal throughout my house).
I hope this helps others.

Had a similar issue. Got a new router from Virginmedia and kept getting 'WIFI ERR' during the final step of the set up procedure. Tried setting it up with iphone, ipad and laptop but always failed with same error.
Went into the router settings and the default setting in the 2.4GHz Wireless freq mode was 802.11g/n. Changed it to 802.11b/g/n and it worked first time.

Special characters in the network name perhaps? Fitbit, you really need to fix this. It’s ridiculous.
