Aria 2 won’t register guest weight

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Yesterday, my scales didn’t recognize me and said guest during the weigh in. In went into the app - recent weigh ins, and changed it to me. Today, the scales didn’t recognize me again. I went into recent weigh ins, but this time, there was no guest weight registered. So, I tried three more times and got nothing.

I then came to the Community to search for help. So far, I’ve tried removing the batteries and stepping on the scales 5 times (6 times, just in case) to recalibrate. Nothing. Tried that again. Nothing.

I’ve removed the scales from my app and readded them (twice); logged out of the app and back in (6 times); done a hard reset of my device (3 times), and then tried adding the scales again (twice). Tried removing the batteries again, and then stepping on 5 times again. I then got on to my Fitbit account via the web browser, hit the settings cog, gone into my Aria 2 to look for recent weigh ins and possibly change it to me there. However, I can’t find any data about weigh ins on the website.

It’s been 2.5 hours now, and I’m ready to throw the scales out the window.

Can anyone advise, please?

Posted my query back in May. Six months later and still NO MEANINGFUL UPDATE from Fitbit.

Hi,

So I had the same problem, i managed to get the scales to recognise myself 78kg but not my partner 60kg "GUEST". i got her to do a weigh-in, i did one within the same timeframe and set the weigh-in (my one) as her login. it seems to have tricked the aria 2 into thinking that was her. i got her to do another weigh in at her current weight, and just deleted the fake original weigh-in and now it works for her.

It's super stupid and fitbit really needs to work out their **ahem**ty app. Hope this helps!

A year later and still no fix?  Guest weigh ins go into cyberspace and can’t be seen in recent weigh ins or assigned to users???!  Update please.

This was "escalated" nearly a year ago.  Terrible customer service.  That's google.   They don't care.

Fitbit is not going to fix it. The product team is aware of the issue and has chosen to not fix it according to their reply to me.

Did they definitively tell you it will never be fixed, proteus007? Apologies if you've reported it here before, can't see it.

If support knows that, they should say so here, and end this thread.

If they were going to fix it they would have. Even if they say they will, actions speak louder than words.

Speak with your wallet. Support brands that support their customers.

Withings is a Fitbit partner.  So you can get a Withings scale and it will sync with Fitbit.
Wish this issue had more attention, Google purchasing Fitbit then not supporting a specific aspect anymore.

When you buy a company you usually buy the staff too. So if anything it's just the original Fitbit staff still being incompetent or stretched with other higher priority issues.

In saying that... I posted a workaround recently, if the Fitbit team was competent they'd pin my message so other users would find a way that's currently better than nothing.

It looks like I somehow was logged a weigh in of 50 lbs (???) a few weeks ago, and now all of my weigh ins our GUEST, even after deleting the erroneous 50 lb weigh in. A few years ago, this would have been easy enough to fix, but it would appear that GUEST weigh ins just disappear into the void now and cannot be accessed in any way?! And it has been this way for over ten months????????

I expected things to go downhill once Google bought everything. I didn't expect my scale to become one more of their many abandoned products. Absolutely ridiculous.
