Yesterday, my scales didn’t recognize me and said guest during the weigh in. In went into the app - recent weigh ins, and changed it to me. Today, the scales didn’t recognize me again. I went into recent weigh ins, but this time, there was no guest weight registered. So, I tried three more times and got nothing.
I then came to the Community to search for help. So far, I’ve tried removing the batteries and stepping on the scales 5 times (6 times, just in case) to recalibrate. Nothing. Tried that again. Nothing.
I’ve removed the scales from my app and readded them (twice); logged out of the app and back in (6 times); done a hard reset of my device (3 times), and then tried adding the scales again (twice). Tried removing the batteries again, and then stepping on 5 times again. I then got on to my Fitbit account via the web browser, hit the settings cog, gone into my Aria 2 to look for recent weigh ins and possibly change it to me there. However, I can’t find any data about weigh ins on the website.
It’s been 2.5 hours now, and I’m ready to throw the scales out the window.
Can anyone advise, please?

My Aria scale was working great until my wife used it to weigh luggage and now it does not recognize her.
So far, these are the steps we have tried without success.
1. Removed the scale from both of our accounts
2. Removed batteries for +15 seconds
3. Ran thu setup on my account, successfully added to wifi and to my account. I can weight myself and it syncs successfully and I can see my weight in my account
4. Sent invite to wife's account
5. Wife accepted. From within each of our accounts we can see that our two accounts associated with the scale.
6. Wife weighed herself 5 times, each time she was identified as GUEST.
Recent weigh-ins show only my weight and NOT hers nor any guest.
What do I need to do for her account to be able to register with this scale???

Try opening the app and click on Aria 2. Click on recent weigh-in , and reassign guest to you. Then either delete guest or carry on.

The problem is that we don’t have any guest weight-ins in the list

In this thread it's really two problems:
1. Some people are finding that they are not being recognised on their Aria 2, so get listed as 'GUEST',
which wouldn't be problem if:
2. All 'GUEST' weigh-ins were able to be reassigned in the app.
However, no 'GUEST' weigh-ins are showing up on the app at all, so can't be reassigned. Some people in this thread have managed to get the Aria 2 to recognise them again, so problem 2 doesn't occur, but for most people, problem 2 exacerbates problem 1, as weigh-ins are going missing, and it appears Fitbit are 'fixing the problem' by closing the tread as 'Solved' and ignoring anyone's updates.

All guests weights used to be recorded on my account until around the end of May. All previous guest weights disappeared and no new weigh ins will show on my account any longer. My weigh in record fine although all my previous weights before that time also disappeared. This should not be that hard to correct. This should not require another fitbit account as that is what :"guest" means.

Thanks for trying, but your "solution" does not address the problem. The only weights displayed in a user's app are those for that individual user. Guest weights and weights of other household members are no longer shown in the primary user's account. Yes, every user needs their own account, but all users' weights used to be displayed in each user's app, including those logged as "guest", which are not visible to any users.

I am starting a new thread as the previous ones I have seen are marked as solved and this issue has not been corrected. I have lost all previous guest weights and my own weights in under Recent Weigh Ins around the end of May. From that point on, It continues to log my new weigh ins but any guest weigh ins are going to cyberspace somewhere and not being recorded. Multiple people are complaining of this issue and the most we get from the help group is to reset phones and apps which of course does nothing. Fitbit, please provide a real status for this issue.

There is no solution until Fitbit fixes this. Hopefully we do not have to buy a "Google Scale" now for it to work as intended.

I do, you can reset the scale and/or reinstall the app. If that doesn't work, buy a new scale. I understand it perfectly.

I believe it is the app that is excluding guest and other users' weights. I think it's an app "upgrade" feature. The weights are going correctly to my husband's account and to my account, but we can no longer see each others' weights in our personal apps. Same is true on fitbit.com dashboard. Not being able to see and reassign the guest weights is an app thing. The scale is most likely recording them "in the sky" somewhere, inaccessible to us humans.

Hello All, It's been sometimes since I used my aria 2. today i tried weighing in scale kept saying "guest" And not showing the weight under recent weigh-in in the fitbit app. after Googling it, I see that others were having the same issue below are the steps that I did to get my Aria 2 to work. Side note Arie 2 was coming up as "undefined".
1)Wipe down the scale glass surface with alcohol. Based on some of the comments in this form.
2)Removed scale (aria 2) from account (i had a fitbit account not google linked)
3)Pulled out the batteries, With the batteries out of the device, press and continue to hold the reset button as you place the batteries back in hold it for 15 seconds after the last battery is placed. Set up the aria 2 on Wi-Fi again. (this is per the aria 2 manual)
4) Based on another fitbit form that I read, a user stepped on the scale 5 times and recorded it as a guest (but not visible just yet). Then remove the batteries for 15 to 20 seconds (i did 20sec), place them back in and it worked for him for me this step did not work, but the scale now has 5 weights registered somewhere in the cloud.
5) The next step may be the one that worked, but I eventually merged my fitbit account with the Google one, Once you log in (fitbit app) if you scroll down on the main page it says merge to Google or something like that click on that accept all of google's terms Make sure to transfer all your data will ask you numerous report/information to Transfer I clicked yes to all.
6) Once I did that I did not step on the scale right away, I started to think if the weight is registered (5 weigh-ins before) and I lost than gained the weight back since I was 30 pounds a couple months ago, What if I delete all my logs until I am the same weight that I was back then. Step on the scale And Wala it WORKED!
Hope this helps if not keep trying.

It sounds great! I’ll wait until others try it with the same positive results before I try it!

Either you do not, you are being obtuse, or you have not experienced the issue.

I solved it! Move your account to Google, then take out a battery and wait 15 seconds, put it back in. Your weights will be assigned to you again.
