After changing the batteries in my Aria 2, my scale will no longer display body fat percentage. I have already tried removing the batteries for a couple of minutes and putting them back in. I have checked all of my settings and the toggle to show body fat percentage is on. I am weighing myself in bare feet on a flat surface. I have attempted weighing myself 8 times in a row and nothing will fix the problem.

Did this problem start after you changed the batteries?

Yes, it did. I have had the scale for 6 years and have never had this issue. After I replaced the batteries a few days ago, the problem started. I also tried resetting the scale completely by removing the batteries and holding down the small button above the batteries, uninstalling and reinstalling the fitbit app, and wiping down the scale in case it was dusty. Nothing has fixed the issue.

I've done all these same things also - changed batteries, no body fat %. Tried all the resets you have, too. If you hear of any fixes, tag me!

I contacted customer service and it took multiple days of back and forth emails for them to tell me there was nothing more that could be done to troubleshoot. They asked me for my purchase receipt and the serial number of my scale, which amazingly I still happened to have a copy of. They then told me that the scale was no longer under warranty, there was nothing they could do to repair the scale, and encouraged me to buy a new scale. Needless to say, I won't be buying any new fitbit equipment since they don't stand behind their products and had no interest in making it right.

Oooo. That's not good customer service at all. Thanks for the heads up.

Wow, I thought this was just me. I wonder if they've done a software update and bricked the fat % facility.

Hi Fitbit. Any comment on the above query. Let us know if we cannot expect fat% again ?

Maybe if we keep pestering them they'll bring it back. As someone who is on a long-term weight-loss program, that body fat percentage info is a big deal for me. I don't want to spend money on another scale since mine is relatively new, but...
