Aria Air Bluetooth fails to connect & how to “invite”

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Constantly having Bluetooth connection issues, I specifically bought a set of scales so that I can quickly weigh in and the data saved to App. This never happens everytime I have to fight to get Bluetooth to connect, connect, disconnect, connect, disconnect. I quickly stand on scales when Bluetooth icon is on but data does not read on app, I try app on android phone, iPad, I turn devices on, off, it doesn't work.

I deleted Aria Air this morning to try and install again and now apparently I have to invite the device to my account WTF?
How and where do I “invite”, do I write the Aria Air I nice invitation card and pop it in the mail? Bloody hell Fitbit and the Bluetooth connectivity issues across all devices makes me wish I had splashed out on an Apple Watch.

so how do I “Invite” my Aria Air back to my Fitbit account and how can I get Bluetooth connection.

Nice to see you here, @Sooby2452.

I see where your frustration is coming from. Thanks for the details in your post and for all the troubleshooting performed. Have you checked if your Aria Air is paired with your phone's Bluetooth? You can check this on your phone's Settings > Bluetooth and try unpairing the scale from Bluetooth. Then try to setup the scale back by following the instructions from this help article: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

In case that you receive an error message when you try to connect the scale to your account, please share with me a screenshot of the error. Instructions to attach a picture can be found here.

Hope this helps.

Process of elimination: one by one I have turned on/off each possible Bluetooth connection device in the house. I spoke to help desk who got me to complete each task they asked and my Aria Air is being returned to Fitbit.

Serious question to Fitbit technology design people: explain why Fitbit devices have so much difficulty with connection and app issues, a devices connectivity would seem to be a basic core component of the items design yet here we are constantly complaining.

As a user of technology and smart devices for easily 15 years I find it constantly frustrating to get the same dumb level nonsense instruction on how to connect via Bluetooth, this ain’t my first rodeo, I know how to turn on Bluetooth and problem shoot. Fix the technology, design Apps that have technological capability.

Agree. Whole-heartedly. Fundamentals. If you consistently can't connect to a smart device then there is no value above me just getting a pencil and a notepad. I'll be canceling my premium trial unless you can fix this and the next 60 days. Push some firmware already people.

I just stopped using it all together..  I also bought a hydrate bottle and well guess what guys IT DOSNT CONNECT TO BLUETOOTH AT ALL!!!  If these companies are going to make products like this YOU NEED TO MAKE AURE IT BLOODY WORKS FIRST. Yes I bought off Amazon and now waiting for a Fitbit water bottle and see if that connects. But this really isn't fair we spend all this money on your products and they don't even do half of what they say they should.

Same problem. I open the fitbit app to connect my scale and it just keeps saying "try again" even though I am on the scale, and it is showing my weight. No, my scale is not connected to my phone, because that's not how you guys set it up. When you try to pair it says you need an app. Go to the app... "try again."

How can I fix this?

Just wondering why my Aria Air can be ‘paired’ but not connected to Bluetooth? Bluetooth icon comes on for about 2 seconds…goes off…not listed under Bluetooth connection. I can see it in my Fitbit app but it doesn’t work. Doesn’t record, won’t let me change my details, DOESN’T WORK. Becoming exasperated! I’ve contacted Fitbit Support and tried everything they’ve suggested. How can I get my Aria Air replaced (I’m in Australia)? I don’t have a receipt as it was a gift and kind and thoughtful person who gave it to me doesn’t have a receipt either. 😔
