Just bought the aria air. It has paired with my phone ok but my weight does not auto sync. I have tried logging in and out of the app etc. How do I get the aria air to auto sync my weight. This will be returned if that function does not work as what’s the point in manually adding your weight, that’s what I did with my old scales! Thank you for any help. Remember I have already logged off and on again. Thank you.

My wife picked up the Aria Air on sale at Best Buy. As others have said, I set it up this past Sunday, and it synced fine with our phones after that initial setup. However, since then, in order to get the Aria Air to sync with the Fitbit app on my OnePlus 8t, I have to reboot the phone. I did stumble upon the Aria Air Update app when I did a Google search for how to update the firmware on the Aria Air. After installing that app, it did discover my Aria Air and installed a firmware update. However, that firmware update did not seem to fix the ability of the Aria Air to sync with the Fitbit app on my phone. Fitbit or Google or whoever is now in charge really need to look at this problem and come up with a solution. First, none of the documentation in the box talked about a separate app just to install firmware updates to the Aria Air. The Fitbit app installs firmware updates to my Fitbit. So, logically that's where I looked first. Why can it not also install updates for the scale? Second, it is an epic fail of QA to release a product that will only sync on the first try and thereafter requires a reboot for every sync. According to reports posted here in the community, this is happening with both iOS and Android devices. So, the fault is completely with Fitbit, not a specific operating system or phone manufacturer. At the companies that I have worked for, this would be considered a critical production bug that should be addressed immediately.

Same problem here. Nothing I have tried worked. Guess I should have just bought a regular scale. Disappointed.

I tried all of the suggestions here, and I even used the Aria Air Update app to update the firmware. Nothing worked except to manually Force Stop the Fitbit app in Android App settings and then open the Fitbit app again so that it could pair with the scale and receive the weight. That's a pain for me and a hard no with my wife. I ended up returning the Aria Air scale to Best Buy and purchased the Withings Body+ scale. While the Withings Body+ scale was more expensive, it provides far more information than the Aria Air, it actually works, and you can link your Withings account to your Fitbit account so that your Withings Body+ readings are exported to your Fitbit account.

The Aria Air Update in Google Play Store fixed it for me.

Same here, worked fine for a while. Now seems like it syncs when it wants to.

The Aria Air App only worked for a short while for me. Very frustrating!

Updated but still not fixed.

Firmware update did not solve the issue. I've given up and returned the scale. Started to think there is something fundamental that can't be fixed with an update.

Yes and it still does not display in app or synch.

I have a brand new Aria Air, have ensured the firmware is up to date using the - unmentioned in documentation - Aria Air firmware updating app.
Like everyone else, my results don't sync after the first try. They don't even sync after force-quitting the app (Android). I need to spend a few minutes to clear the Aria Air and remove it from my app completely and then start again from scratch to again just get that one successful sync.
Its been.... /drum roll

Is this community forum just a place for frustrated customers to have cry and feel better? Does fitbit even look here?

I think I just found the solution to make it work. Please try it out for yourself;
1. Step on the scale
2. Immediately after that press + on the weight tile in the fitbit app (home screen)
I tried it 10 times in a row and every time it registers the weight after a couple of seconds and I press 'save'.
Don't know if this is how it's supposed to work, but for me it is good enough to not
Ps. If someone already suggested this and didn't work for others, my apologies. Didn't find this solution myself so far.

Hey, Stevvo, I would try the suggestion made just below by Jblok84. However, if that doesn't work, or you find it too inconvenient, I would return the Aria Air scale and get a smart scale that actually works. I ended up returning the Aria Air to Best Buy and purchasing the Withings Body+ smart scale. You can link your Withings Health Mate account with your Fitbit account. So, when you use the scale to take a reading, the information is sent to your Health Mate account and is then sent along to Fitbit where it shows up in the Fitbit app. This works flawlessly for me every time.

Got mine recently and it will only sync when I weigh myself if I restart the phone. Every time. This while my phone/app sync with my Sense consistently as it should.
Tips?

The only thing that works for me is Force Stop'ing the app from my phone's Settings > Apps > FitBit > Force Stop. It will work the first time after that, and then never again.
Other things that would work that are effectively just a Force Stop: uninstall/reinstall the app, restart phone.
On a Pixel 6 Pro. This is clearly an issue with the app's use of the phone's bluetooth connection
