The Aria Air does not give you BMI. The information can be found in this article - click to go there.
Under "What's the difference between lean and regular mode?"
Aria and Aria 2 have two modes to calculate body fat. The default is “regular” mode, which applies to most people. “Lean” mode is intended for professional or very high-level athletes with exceptionally low body fat relative to their muscle mass.
Note that Aria Air doesn't calculate body fat percentage.
If you got this from Fitbit.com directly, you have 45 days from date of purchase to return it. If you bought from another retailer, check with them for their policy to return it.

You are talking about body fat. The OP was talking about BMI. Two very different things. BMI is a calculation made by the app based on weight and height.
So in the app, go in to the weight section and swipe the little graph a few times. The BMI graph will show. Tapping on the graph will give you a large graph on which you can view ideals and data points.
