Well, since the Aria 2 was discontinued and now suddenly quit connecting to my newer wifi router, I was forced to manually enter weight and body fat numbers since then. So I thought I'd upgrade to the Aria Air, and it's not much of an upgrade it doesnt detect body fat, so it is obviously inferior to its predecessor Aria 2. I guess this is a tribute to the 2nd tier cheaper wearables, you get what you pay for.

Just my own view of this. I don't think Aria Air was ever meant as an upgrade over Aria 2. In fact, I believe Aria Air had been available for a while concurrently with Aria 2. I always considered it a lower end option. My own guess is that Fitbit decided to get out of the scale business, scales not really being their core business, and there are many other companies than now are making smart scales that link to Fitbit and measure body fat and supposedly many other measurements for lower prices.
BTW you don't have to manually enter weight from Aria Air to Fitbit. If you have your phone nearby, it has bluetooth to sync your weight directly to Fitbit phone app. And if you do want body fat, I suggest looking at some other brands smart scales. You can search Amazon for smart scales and find many decent prices that say they will sync to Fitbit, or ask in the appropriate forums here for suggestions, probably much expensive than the Aria 2 was, by now maybe even less than the Aria Air.

Also, Aria Air doesn't work/sync with Android. I have been disappointed since Google bought Fitbit. I switched to the google login and now I can't see my friends information/stats. They will probably be forced to change eventually so I got that going for me. The usefulness and joy I used to get from Fitbit is coming to an end and I will be looking elsewhere.
