Another question is how it managed to track body fat before when the Air version of the Aria scales doesn't track body fat. Did you use to have a different model of scales?

Hi @DrDianeC Welcome to our Fitbit Community. My friend @SteveH is correct, the Aria Air doesn't track body fat. For more information about what your Aria Air measures, check out this help article.

See you around.

I am experiencing the same thing. I took a screen shot to prove but have yet figured out how to post it here. I am curious if there was some sort of an update that has messed this up. I had been seeing my % till Sat. this last week April 3, 2021

Hi
For several days when I began using the Air my Fitbit app showed a fat percentage which was the same as my previous scales which had ceased to work and which went to the tip (ie I wasn’t confusing them). The interesting thing is the fat percentage didn’t change at all despite me losing weight and clearly some fat loss. I think maybe it was an app aberration. I thought the scales I ordered monitored fat percentage so I’m disappointed. My fault obviously.
Thanks for trying to help.
Best wishes
Diane

I got curious. I was looking at the scales yesterday, and for a moment, I thought Aria Air had different features in different markets. I do not know what to buy. I want something more advanced than Aria Air. I also want it to be compatible with the Fitbit App. The last time I weighed in was six months ago. It is not very important.

My boyfriend has had his for a couple years now and it works great, it’s
the Airia 2

I wanted one for my house and we didn’t investigate much. When I first used
it and it was doing all his did I was happy. Now with it not doing the
percentage I’m disappointed 😞. I’ll be at the boyfriends this weekend so
I’ll see where it is then I guess...

Thanks for the intel. Guess I bought the wrong scales 😊

Hello
I thought it was supposed to measure fat (am UK based), but seems it doesn’t. Check carefully before you buy to get the right ones
