I have been actively using my original Aria (Model FB201B) and it has started to error. When I step on it tell me to step off, the. Says thinking, the. Says error.
batteries changed and have reset up several times.
Each time the scales say they have setup and show in the app.
however the error still occurs.
This feels like a purposeful con. The scales are fine, it’s just that Fitbit want them not to work after they are supported so you have to buy something new.
these scales have been well looked after and should work.
can you help Fitbit? Please prove me wrong!

We are experiencing the same issue too. Prior to this the device would also have issues syncing. Looks like it's the end of this scale.

I agree with your dissatisfaction but my similar issue may throw your theory a curveball.
My Aria worked like a charm AFTER i finally got it synced when I first bought it it 2017. Took me about a dozen times to sync it with Wifi and calls to their useless support. It then worked as a great tool to my new health goals from an early 2017 health crisis and awakening.
in August 2020, I moved and could never get it to sync with the new Wifi, same cable Internet provider, and again last May when I moved again. Tried no short of 100 times in the past two years including an hour with chat support this morning. Best they can do is have me call my cable company to confirm settings. That’s stupid.
So, my unit is either 1) defective, considering all the original problems experienced or 2) just a piece of crap technology (hardware) like yours and everyone else that cannot easily sync their Wifi. Unfortunately, the company does not seem to want to recognize the common issue and hell if I buy another one from them.

This happened to me awhile back. I called in and they told me the new WiFi have different frequencies and that my provider needed to have the both put in. 5g and 2.1 That is the old frequency. That is what the first Aria is.
