My scale refuses to work and I’m at a loss as to what to do. Step off - err!

I removed the batteries for 20 secs and put them back in but same error message appears. I tried stepping on and off weighing myself 5 times and it’s the same! For the price paid for this scale it has been very disappointing.

 

please advise what I need to do.
