Aria WIFI Error with Comcast

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

HELP!!! I have searched and tried everything and still cannot get my Aria scale to connect to my router. It goes all the way through and then I receive the WIFI ERR message. My network mode on the router is 802.11 b/g/n its the 2.4 GHz network and the channel bandwidth is 20/40. I have reset the router 3 times and have tried set-up from my iPhone and Mac. I even tried to manually enter the MAC address of the Aria into the router settings, with no success. If anyone has any help what-so-ever, it would be greatly appreciated!!

I am having the same problem since March.  I have spend so many hours trying to resolve this issue - I've read through the fitbit threads and also articles on the internet and still am not able to connect.  I've tried everything that people have suggested.  I am so frustrated.  I've had the Aria since last March and have never had an issue.  Please help

Hi!
So if you have Comcast, apparently they did an update since I bought the scale in March so I had to change my 2.4ghz wifi settings back to 802.11 g,n then let it accept it, then change it BACK to 802.11 b,g,n. It worked. Unfortunately a week later it did it again. So yesterday when I remembered that, I re-did the steps I was given and at first it didn’t work, but we stepped on the scale later that evening and it worked. Hope that helps!

Thank you for that information @SunsetRunner.  I had changed the wifi setting based on another post but didn't realize you had to change it back.  I haven't been able to find the initial post I had used, which listed how to get to the wifi settings - do you know what that link is by any chance?  I'll try this tonight and hopefully it works 🙂

Hi Georgia!
No I don’t know the original post that someone else had. I had contacted Fitbit via Twitter and then they had someone email me the instructions.

I hope it works for you. I went to use mine this morning and it said it couldn’t sync. 🤦🏽‍:female_sign:🙄

@DAGE98 Welcome to the Fitbit forums! I'm sorry to hear that your Aria stopped connecting with your network. It seems that you have tried a workaround that was shared previously in the Community. Our team is actively working on this. We don't have a timeline when this will be fixed. However, I really appreciate your patience and understanding with this.

@SunsetRunner I want to follow up on this and would like to know if the workaround could fix the issue permanently or does the issue happen?

See you both later! Smiley Happy

Well it had did it again but this time we didn’t have to reset any of the networks. We just went back the next today and it worked. So so far no issues.

@JuanJoFitbit How can Fitbit fix this issue, the scales are not connecting to network. There is no way to get firmware upgrade to apply a fix through wifi.

Are u stalling the fix to declare the scales obsolete within a few months?

Yes, I am wondering the same thing as well.  Every few days I keep trying to connect the scale, and still have been unsuccessful.  It is very frustrating and am hoping that FitBit is working on a solution for this.

Our power went out last week so i had to reconnect my Aria. No problem but this time when I did, it messed up the connection with other devices. My husband fixed that issue somehow but when I got on the scale yesterday (and today), Aria was back to not being able to sync.

I’m not going to keep changing my settings on my modem, so I am disappointed.

Unfortunately NO - I tried all the new instructions and Gave UP.. This is
the second time I have had to do this and I am done. I just use the scale
as a regular (non-connected) scale.. I will NEVER buy another one and
cannot recommend one at all.

@JuanJoFitbit,
It worked a few days after configuring the scale using a computer.
Back to « normal », I mean not connecting.
What is the plan in place to get the scales connecting again?

Hi there - my Aria was working with my Xfinity (Comcast) network fine until about 2 weeks ago, then it stopped syncing and won't allow me to finish the WiFi set up.  About 3 months ago we got those little Xfi pods that extend your WiFi. I thought maybe it was trying to connect to one of those instead of the main router, so i unplugged all of those and brought the scale out to the main router and tried again, to no avail.  Both using the iphone and my MacBook choices for setup.  I will try the router set up solutions when I get home and report if that works.
