HELP!!! I have searched and tried everything and still cannot get my Aria scale to connect to my router. It goes all the way through and then I receive the WIFI ERR message. My network mode on the router is 802.11 b/g/n its the 2.4 GHz network and the channel bandwidth is 20/40. I have reset the router 3 times and have tried set-up from my iPhone and Mac. I even tried to manually enter the MAC address of the Aria into the router settings, with no success. If anyone has any help what-so-ever, it would be greatly appreciated!!

@mellooney It's great to see you in our Fitbit forums! I'm sorry to hear that your Aria scale stopped connecting to your network. Thank you for taking the time to troubleshoot this issue before getting in touch with our Support team. I would like to follow up and would like to know if you tried the setup solutions when you got home.
In the meantime, make sure that your Xfinity router complies with the protocol 802.11b or b/g/n. Also is the bandwidth 2.4 GHz? This information can be reviewed with your Internet service provider.
Looking forward to your response!

Even if your router only has g/n 2.4 ghz, the Aria should still work with it. B devices can connect to G.

Thank you, I tried continuously with Xfinity's automatic setup with the 802.11 g/n configuraiton and it would not work. I had an Xfinity customer service person manually configure with b/g/n and it worked again. Unfortunately, got the upgraded Xfinity Router, and now have the same issue as before. Customer service rep at Xfinity couldn't figure out how to change it like the last person did, so I'm stuck with a scale that won't connect to my wi-fi. I will keep working the issue. I'm signing out of updates on this post however. It's an Xfinity issue. Thank you again.

It is truely unbelievable that this thread dates back to 2015 and Fitbit has been unable to do anything about the instability of this product’s connection to WiFi. I have dozens of smart devices in my home who continue chugging along connecting to my network for years without issue. I am not surprised that your company’s stock price has dropped 80% is the last ~3 years. I will never again buy a Fitbit product and wish you well in your future endeavors. I am now headed to my roof so I can launch this useless paperweight of an aria scale off my roof.

I finally got the scale setup to work, after trying the setup two times. I picked channel 11, and b/g/n mode on the Comcast router. I currently have the 5 ghz mode off. Any other router would work fine, even with just g/n modes.

Here is what worked for me....note: these steps did not work on laptop but worked when I tried them from my Android smart phone (repeated same steps on same Xfinity wi-fi network; don't know why it was a different experience).
Xfinity Steps
a. adjusted the mode of my 2.4 GHz network to be 802.11 b, g, n (it was g, n - no b)
Open the Xfinity "Xfi" app > Advanced Settings > "2.4 and 5 GHz Wifi", click Edit next to the 2.4 GHz section. I set wifi mode to the "b,g,n" and I set Channel to "Auto (Recommended)". Click Apply Chnages.
Fitbit Aria Steps
a. On phone, open browser (I used Chrome) and go to https://www.fitbit.com/scale/setup
b. Follow directions (on phone)
c. Aria 1 scale was able to connect.
d. Dang, now I have the "Thinking, ERR" result (but scale is connected to network). So troubleshooting continues.

I tried a new linksys router that only had 2.4 g not b mode. I plugged it into the Comcast router and it worked fine with the scale.
