Aria batteries drain fast

I know my scale is out of warranty but can i return it to be fixed  "for a fee of course". I'm having severe batterie drain. In the interest of recycling i would rather get it fixed then throw it away.
If so what should i do?

I believe battery drain is a floor in the design. It should have s power switch. I take the batteries out or just switch one to the opposite pole to power it off until I weigh myself the next day.
