Aria body fat readings increased all of a sudden

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My fat content has been depressingly level for a very long time

Two weeks ago though it leapt from 33% to 46% overnight, and stayed there.

I'm guessing this is a fault.

How can I correct it?

Try cutting carbs from your diet.

Hmmmmm.
Well, thanks for the suggestion but do you really think my (unchanged) diet
accounts for an overnight increase from 32 to 46?

@Kevins0753 Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Aria scale is not tracking your body fat percentage accurately. I'd like you to try the following in order to correct this issue: Please restart and re-calibrate your scale by taking out the batteries for 15 seconds and put them back in. Once you've done this, weigh yourself 5 times in a row and see if the issue gets resolved.

As an aside note, make sure that your scale is placed on a hard surface and you are standing on it barefoot and still.

Thank you for your help @aco2x.

I noticed the same.  Did the suggestion from Fitbit below help?

@Svid311 Thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community! By the way, I'm sorry for the late response. However, I'd like to follow up on the accuracy issues that your Aria is experiencing with your body fat percentage. Please follow the troubleshooting steps that I shared in my previous post.

Also, make sure that your profile settings of your Dashboard (height, weight and gender) are correct.

This hasn't helped me. Mine has decreased suddenly by 18 percent. That can't be right!

I found that it jumped 12% as soon as I got a new internet service. Then recently I took a look at my profile and noticed my gender wasn’t listed. When I entered male in, everything went back to where it was before minus 1 or 2%.
