Aria displays "NO SYNC"

Hi all,

I've had my Aria for years, with no issues. Nothing has changed on my network. As of 3 weeks ago, my Aria stopped sync'ing. Upon weigh in, it knows who I am, and then displays "NO SYNC" when uploading the data. When I restart the device, it says it's connected to my network.

I'm finding varying articles on this topic. None of which have helped me to resolve.

Do I really need to factory reset or is there something else I can do?

Thanks

@adambean It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Aria scale stopped syncing with your network. Actually, the Aria scale can't be restarted to factory settings. However, you can try taking out the batteries for 15 seconds and put them back in. This will refresh your Aria internally. Once you've done this, restart your router and see if your scale syncs properly.

In the meantime, let me know what is the make and model of your router. This info will help me to assist you accordingly.

Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

@JuanJoFitbit - I've removed the battery and it states it's connected to my network on startup.

I haven't changed anything on my network in the past year. I have a wired mesh network of 3 Asus routers: GT-AC5300, AC-5300, AC66U-B1. No devices in LAN or WLAN have issue's.

Thanks

Hi,

I have the same problem.

Tried a few times to connect to my WiFi and it keeps saying "No Sync" after it tries connecting.

Thanks.

Hi JuanJo,

Thank you for your response.  I have not recently made any changes to my network.

It just all of a sudden stopped working.

Just yesterday, I decided to reset the scale hoping that a fresh start would work.  This is what I did.

I pulled the batteries, then re-inserted them and pushed the small button through the pinhole.  It was successful in resetting the scale but the same problem happened.

I got the following messages, Joining WiFi --> Linking to --> No Sync.

I also tried connecting to another access point (my phone) and got the same thing.

Thanks.

Zaid

Thank you JuanJo.

My issue was solved.  Tech Support emailed me and explained what the message means.  My router setup was correct but my issue was that I log into my account with my Facebook credentials.  The setup asks you to log in with an email address and password.  I think the scale was unable to "sync" the wifi connection with my account.  I changed my password on my account and then everything worked.

Thanks!

Hi, I have the same No sync problem. Aria stopped syncing couple of weeks ago. No changes in network or otherwise that I know. I tried to remove the batteries and restart the router. Doesn't help.

Has anyone gotten this problem resolved? I'm also having this problem where my Aria doesn't sync anymore and I get the 'No Sync' message. Tried reconnecting but it cuts out after joining the network and I get the No Sync message again.

I'm having this issue.

No change in wifi password but I have had to change my fitbit password twice due to being hacked or fitbit detecting fraud and asking me to. On set up I log in with correct email/password.

I've tried the set up multiple times on both my laptop & chrome book, I have also inserted new batteries.

I have a virgin media 3.0 hub/router

I have the exact same problem. First Gen Aria, Linksys router with no changes, and the device just gives error message of No Sync.

I do not use a Federated account for authenticating with the Fitbit service.

So..... this is a very common problem ? What have you done Fitbit? I have Aria (original) and it won't sync. All my weigh-ins have to be added manually. Getting disappointed with Fitbit.
