I solved the problem - I bought a Withings Body+ scale and left the Aria in a skip.
Now, when I weigh myself, I know that the number I see is consistent, reliable and dependable from one time to the next. Who knew scales could be like this?
It does body composition stuff too, but that's more educated guesswork as it always is with these kind of things that fire a bit of current up one leg and down the other.

oh awesome!!!! I was wondering about that scale but was afraid to get another one with issues like the Aria! Makes absolutely no sense why a scale is so crazy off. I am going right now to buy one thank you so much Purpledog!!!

Mine gives different weight for lb, st and kg. The kg is showing over a stone lighter when you work in manually by the mass but the lb and St is saying I'm over a stone heavier massive difference and really annoying and very rarely since 🤬

Don't buy. It is wasting of money and time. Different measure displayed on the scale and different in the app. I restarted app and scale and new firmware and nothing works. Wasting of money.
