Aria glass Shattered

HI

My Flat mate who is a 73kg doctor stood on the scale and the glass cover shattered. Not sure why this happened as she isn't heavy and she says she just stuff on it in a normal way. 

She suffered the most minor scratches to one of her feet so essentially no-one was injured but it was a bit scary especially as my nephews who are only 4 and 6 love to weigh themselves on it and I would have been devastated if anything happened to them. 

Thought i should post here to see if there is anything that can be done to please replace it. I've had it since December 2017 but i don't think i still have the receipt or box or anything.
