Aria is draining the batteries fast

Lately my Aria has been draining the batteries b/c despite nothing being on the scale, it says on for some reason after a weigh in. No one has a need for a scale to be on for more than a 15 minutes. At that point, the scale should automatically turn off rather than running down the batteries. Please do a firmware update to incorporate this.

I have been using the original Aria for 6 years now and it does not do this. No update is needed. Sounds like you scale may have hardware issues.

Just because yours doesn’t do this doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be a smart feature. Others have reported the same issue. If you have anything helpful to say please chime back in

I suspect that it is nothing to do with a software issue - they already have an auto-turn-off feature built into the software.  I suspect that it is to do with the sensors (aka the feet of the scales) that have become "sticky" and when you get off the scales, the weight of the scales themselves is enough to stop the feet from realising that there is nobody on it anymore...  The scales therefore stay on, because the software thinks someone is still stood on it.  Lift the scales entirely off the ground and after a few moments, the scales should turn off.  They may however turn back on again as soon as you put then back onto their feet.

I have seen a suggestion that cleaning the feet with something like alcohol might help free them up so they return to working condition. Certainly that has worked (for now at least) for mine.
