Aria is not connecting to Wi-Fi

When first starting my Aria I pulled the tab and it said somthing about setup. I went thru the download setup and aria didn't sync. When I went thru again it said to pull one battery then reinsert battery and if did properly it would come back to setup, but it doesn't. It reads out my wifi name as though it seems to be connected but looking at my listing for my wireless devices it is not listed. More guidence please.

@mheff Thanks for keeping me posted! I find weird that your scale is still unable to show your initials. I'm confident that this help page will be helpful so you can reassign your weigh ins to the correct user and not show them as guest. Follow the steps listed and your Aria should do the trick.

The step that is missing is that after you pull a battery for 10 seconds and reinsert it, you need to tap the scale to enter setup mode.

Thanks for the reply. I have been able to get the Aria up and running my initials set and my wife's initials are also set. Now this morning when I went to weight it came up as guest. I don't see my initials and my weight is not being logged. Thought when I look at the Aria page it says it synced so many secs or minutes ago.

@mheff Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! It's great to hear that you were able to set up your Aria scale properly. Thanks @tastybrew btw, for helping out to get the Aria setup for @mheff.

It's weird that your Aria is not recognizing your user though. I'd like to share with you this great post that helped to have this issue fixed.

Mr. JuanJoFitbit,

Thank you for your quick response. Now if I did this correctly I clicked on
the hilighted area "this great post" that took me to a post of a solution
that a person didn't have their scales on a flat hard surface. I wish my
problem was that simple. Once it gets figured out it will be simple I am
sure. I also read thru the other post but there was nothing there that
offered a solution that I could see.
When I first got the scales up and running then I assigned a guest and it
actually worked for that day for two people. The next day it started
reading guest again. The manual explains in four easy steps how invites
should start working but it's not. Some where in the forum I remember
reading about another setup of which that is how I got the scales to work.
But, I am not able to find that setup procedure again.

Thank you,
mheff

Hello JuanJofitbit, Thru the help page link and then another link I found some directions that I couldn't find before and that was the linking of the Aria to the router. When I went back thru those steps again I finally got it to distinguish between my weight and my wife's weight. We will see what happens tomorrow. That's what happened last time was I got it working then the next morning it's like it forgot its memory. Thanks again and will see what happens. mheff

My Aria is not connecting to WiFi, is only showing weight from four days ago and its the wrong number.  Batteries are full, cable guy was out, nothing wrong in my house with internet..  It has worked perfectly for the two years Ive had it. What to do?

@jacq430 It's great to see you in the Community! I'd like to know if you made changes to your network, such as password, router, etc. Since this could affect the connection between your Aria and network. If so, I recommend setting up your Aria again and check out if the issue persists.

Let me know how this workaround goes! Smiley Happy

Mine starting doing the exact same thing starting Feb 9th. Batteries are full. weight and body fat measure ok. all of the sudden stopped connecting to wi-fi. pulled out batteries thinking it would reset something. No luck. Is there a way to reset the Aria?

@jacq430 No sure why your calls have not reached our Customer Support and I noticed that you do have the correct number. I'd like to know if you are reaching our Support within the hours of operation (M-F 4am-8pm // Sa,Su 6am-5pm (PT). If so, let me know and I'll see what else I can do to help you.

A warm welcome to our Community @Cynrgy! It seems that you have done the recommended troubleshooting steps and I'm sorry to hear that were to no avail. Regarding your question, you can reset your Aria scale by taking the batteries out for 15 seconds and putting them back in. After this, try to set it up one more time.

I have spent 1 hr on the phone with a fitbit agent trying to set up my aria scale.  I have now been on an active call with my provider trying to see if they can help.  Hard to believe in this age of technology that hooking up a scale could be this difficult.  Before I tried to reconnect to wifi, at least my scale worked.  Overnight, my body fat went up 10% and my weight vacilates 15 lbs within minutes. Totally frustrated!

I had removed and replaced batteries. I had not changed anything about my network; no password change, no provider change, etc.... However, I decided to power down my wifi and power back up. That did the trick. Simple.

I am having the same issue it started yesterday and continues today. my aria does not connect to upload the data. I have not made any changes to my network either. this is very frustrating we pay alot of money for these gadgets.

Same thing happening to me.  Fitbit keeps saying it's my router but I have dual band router that is broadcasting both 802.11n and 802.11b.  **ahem** expensive scale to not work and fitbit won't acknowledge that the problem is on their end.

Setup app sucks, and it's been this way for at least two years. Graphics don't fit in window. I've thankfully done the setup enough times to be able to get it to go, but it took a long time to figure out how and I'm pretty good with technology. I have to use two network connections to pull it off with the app, and the web app is easier to use, but unreliable. I get the best results wtih the app and the process I figured out.

When bugs don't get fixed, you just buy a different product next time. I use a One as well, and when one of these things must be replaced, I'll be considering that.
