DXA. Isn't that for bone density? Can it be done for both fat & bone percentages? Wish I had of known this when I had my DXA was done some months ago if so.
Visceral fat 'the invisible killer'. It is too hardest fat to lose. Even skinny people can hide & have a high level of fats in their bodies.
I have both. Even though I have lost close 110lb in 5 years my Aria fat % is still showing high 30's.
Scaringly this this is a pretty accurate calculator of your body fat %: https://www.calculator.net/body-fat-calculator.html?ctype=metric&csex=m&cage=58&cweightlbs=152&cheig...
I flagged your post to the moderator team to ask them to come & help you.
Advice @Odyssey13 has already given you should lead to a full resolution.

Hi @Odyssey13 , @GrubbyDuck , nice to see you back here! Thank you for the information shared!
@Lmrider1216 , a warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for information.
As @Odyssey13 mentioned, Moderators will not provide troubleshooting steps or information via PMs. We will help you on the threads, as the Community is here to share, or look for information, so that every member can profit from the experiences and varios posts!
As @GrubbyDuck , stated DXA is done to measure the bone density, so that this won't affect your weight or body fat measurements, unless you have a situation with your bones, what is unlikely, but you can check this with your physician!
Thank you for your question; I can get where your doubts are coming from, seeing a small change in your body fat when you are losing weight, this can be confusing and frustrating. Here's a little information about why that's likely happening:
Body fat percentage often increases or decreases very slow when one loses weight because of hydration levels. In the first week or so of eating better, most people tend to lose a lot of water weight, because their diet includes less salt and refined sugar.
Body fat percentage is calculated as fat mass divided by total mass, so if you significantly lower the total mass while fat mass stays the same or a bit less, the body fat percentage will increase or not changing that much. Even if fat mass is indeed decreasing, the total mass is decreasing more, resulting in an increase or small change of body fat percentage.
If you continue to weigh yourself daily, you'll probably see that your body fat percent goes down on days when your weight fluctuates up since you're retaining more water those days. Similarly, on days when your weight fluctuates down, the body fat percent goes up because you're retaining less water.
We hope this information is helpful. Let me know if you have additional questions.

@GrubbyDuck If a doctor orders DXA scan, then that scan is looking for bone density for health reasons. My DXA scans ordered by my doctor are limited to the hip and spine, monitoring for the development of osteoporosis. There is a body composition DXA scan, which is a whole body scan. The DXA scan is far more accurate than BIA scales.
