Aria is taking forever to join Wi-Fi

Got a new Aria scale, tampered with the router in all the right places (802.11b, password shorter than 31 chars, no funny ones), the router logs show the scale successfully authenticated with the network and has been assigned an address. The display on the scale is forever (like a couple of hours before I gave up) stuck at "Joining WiFi". Any idea what's wrong here?

 

I've already reset it to factory settings twice and still getting the same message when trying setup!

@pwestfal Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Aria scale is not connecting to your WiFi. Thank you for trying all the recommended troubleshooting steps before contacting our forums.

 

I would like to know what is the make and model of your router. Finally, is your router running bandwidth 2.4GHz? This info will help me to assist you accordingly.
