So the issue here is NOT that my Aria (v1) never synchronizes - the issue is that it only syncs when it decides it wants to.
Some days I weigh myself and the scale syncs within a few minutes. Other times it does not sync at all for days, then syncs on a Sunday and passes NO DATA to the app.
The app on my Android (latest version) and the website show the same data - so rule that out (someone said in a thread that their app was not showing data but web site view was. Not happening for me).
I have therefore lost a ton of data. I am going to start trying the "fix" items one-by-one and will report back the consequences of each (i.e. made no difference, X happened, Y happened, etc.)
I am the only user registered on my Aria.

Attempt 1 - Hard Reset
Took all 4 batteries out of Aria. Left for 15 seconds. Put batteries back. Weighed myself.
RESULT:
No difference.
Data did not sync to phone.
Test failed to fix issue.

Attempt 2 - Reinstall FitBit App
Seemed like a long-shot, but someone reported it worked for them.
I uninstalled the app.
Rebooted phone.
Installed app.
Signed in.
Weighed myself...
RESULT:
No difference.
Data did not sync to phone.
Test failed to fix issue.

Attempt 3 - Redo Setup of Aria to WiFi
Used my laptop to connect to fitbit.com/setup
Took a battery out of Aria, put it back in. When scale mentioned its wireless network, I tapped the bottom two corners of the scale to put it into setup mode.
Ran through setup wizard on laptop. Connected scale to the EXACT SAME WiFi network as scale was on before.
RESULT:
Data synchronized.
Will test over the next week to see whether this continues to sync OR I just hit a lucky window.
