I am having the vary same problem. It only shows BF? now, and has for a few days now. It does not even show my percantage once.

@Paturious @starmanjb Welcome to our Fitbit Community and it's great to see you both here! So sorry to hear that your Aria scales are not showing your body fat percentage. I'd like you both to take the batteries out for 15 seconds and put them back in. After this, weigh yourselves five consecutive times. Make sure to weigh yourselves with dry and bare feet.
Keep me posted on the outcome my friends and I'll be around!

I had the same problem. Unfortunately, I did not have a successful resolution. About a year ago, my scale started showing BF?. I was working too much and didn't get around to looking up the error. I wasn't concerned because anytime I had an issue with a Fitbit product in the past, Fitbit always fixed the problem. I finally got around to looking up the error and since I recently replaced the batteries and always weigh myself barefoot, I decided to contact support. The agent was polite, but told me that the bioimpendence portion is broken and there is nothing he could do to help me. The scale is now 4 years old and the warranty is only 3 years. I should have looked into this sooner. The agent was doing his job and following his procedure correctly, but as the customer I'm really, really bummed.

@happy_stamper Thanks for joining us in this thread! So sorry to hear that your Aria scale is out of warranty and it's not tracking your body fat percentage properly. Please take a look at this page which contains information about our Warranty Policy. Also, I would like to share on more workaround, check out your profile settings and see if your height, gender and weight are correct. If so, try setting up your Aria scale from scratch.
Let me know how it goes my friend!

@RickLEF It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to help you with the body fat miscalculation that you are getting from your Aria scale. I would like to know if you have troubleshooted this issue before. If not, please make sure that your Aria is placed on an even or flat surface and you step on it barefooted. After this, restart your scale by taking out the 4 batteries for 15 seconds and put them back in. Finally, re-calibrate your Aria by weighing in yourself 5 consecutive times and see if your body fat gets calculated accurately.
Hope this helps my friend!

Same problem with my Aria Gen 1.
Tried any combination (vertical storage, cleaning the surface, removing batteries for 15secs and then recalibrating, etc.) but still getting "BF?" error.
The scale recognizes me, my weight is correctly calculated and sent to the Fitbit App but never got any other info such as BF.
My profile is also correctly set, including info about my height.
I also have a Charge2 tracker which works flawlessly.

@atzeboya It's great to see new faces in the Community. Welcome aboard! Let me go ahead and help you with the "BF?" error message that you are getting from your Aria scale. Thank you by the way, for trying the recommended troubleshooting steps for this issue. I'd just like you to try one more workaround that has become helpful for this type of issues: Go to your profile settings and change the gender from male to female, save the changes. Finally, change the gender back to male and weigh yourself 5 times in a row again and see if the issue gets corrected.
See you later!

Thank you, but after trying every combination I just gave up, sold my Fitbit Aria and moved to another brand.

I've just solved this problem for a person in our family by logging into their fitbit account and changing their height slightly. It was working for everyone else but this person. After two more weighings, it started showing the BF. My theory is that the scales need to receive an update from the website, and they're not going to get it unless something changes there.
There's something really screwy with the programming of these things. After years of complaints, you'd think they'd do something about it.
(Ours is an Aria, not an Aria 2.)

Does anyone know if this is an issue with the Aria 2? I have done everything recommended here and still nothing. Clearly this was a buggy product that wasn't properly tested before released. I really want it to work so thinking of moving on to the Aria 2, but I'm concerned I'll have the same issue.

Hello @AlexApking and a warm welcome. I have had an Aria 2 since its release. I have never had a problem with my Aria 2 calculating or displaying %BF. That doesn't mean I like the numbers that I see, but that's a different story.

You must be one of the only lucky owners of a currently functioning Aria 2 then!
Congratulations!
And don't worry about the numbers.

HaHa @RickLEF Don't overestimate my success. I have had my own set of quirks, particularly having my scale get disconnected from my wi-fi for no reason. And it doesn't recognize me if I don't weigh myself for a week. But to answer the other user's question, when I step on my scale, it shows weight, %BF, then BMI. Every time.

Hi,
I got the same problems and did the reset and measured myself 5 times. Nothing happened, I still get the BF? Note after I see my weight.
