I have just seen today that the scales are not safe to use in pregnancy. I’ve been using mine every day since getting pregnant (Sometimes more than once) as was underweight and so want to monitor my weight. There was no warning with my scale and the booklet says safe to use in pregnancy. However the online manual for my model now says do not use in pregnancy. I’m 20 weeks and really worried about what I may have done to my baby. Why would they say it’s safe and then not safe later on?!

@KEE86, according to the on-line help for the Aria scales, it indicates that the Aria Air is safe to use during pregnancy, but the Aria and Aria 2 are not. You do not mention which scales you have.
"Aria and Aria 2 measure body mass using bioimpedance analysis, which sends a small electric signal through the body. Don’t use Aria or Aria 2 if you have an implanted medical device such as a pacemaker, or if you’re pregnant. Consult your doctor if you have any questions about using these devices.
Aria Air doesn’t use bioimpedance analysis and there are no restrictions on use if you are pregnant or have an implanted medical device."

Thank you, I have the Aria. Model FB201W which I can see in the online manual that it says not to use. However in the booklet I got with my scales it says safe to use. Just makes me wonder if I need to be worried as my scales had no warning sticker or anything on them so I’ve been using every day 😭 I don’t know why they would update the advice and not let people know this.
