The scales work fine for both hubby and myself as far as showing correct names, weight and fat%, however we are having to manually enter the data into our apps or on desktop. We have uninstalled and applied app, changed batteries, reassigned users, and all other suggestions pertaining to this problem. The last time it actually logged by itself was in Jan. 2024. What other brand of smart scales (no more Arias) work properly with Fitbit?

Hi, mine does the same, app says that the scale synced but no weight shows up, have to enter manually. I also have done all the steps, turn off, uninstall scale, etc., it is frustrating. Why does Fitbit not put out a clear reason and solution?

Update: It suddenly began working properly again on its own. I stopped trying to fix it long ago. But now it has functioned as designed for several weeks.
Has anyone found a fix? Fitbit is turning into a low quality brand. My Aria 2 has all of the functionality of a bathroom scale from 1960. Is it e-waste now? Does fitbit even care about its loyal customers? Is there another brand of scale that will sync with the fitbit app?

Fitbit no longer supports the older scales, just the one currently on their website for sale. There is no reason for this, other than they want you to buy the latest and greatest so that stockholders can have large dividends.

Throw it out, as it is never going to work like it should, no matter what you do, as Fitbit (Google) no longer supports the older scales. There is no way to reconnect them to the app....Buy something else, but stay away from Fitbit scales, they are a scam in my opinion.

There is no fixing the scales if they are not connecting as Fitbit no longer supports anything but the newest scale. The old ones are nothing more than regular old fashion scales. Toss and never buy another one from the Fitbit/Google lineup.

Please just add the measurements tab back so we can use the product and configure users vs all Guest, why does Google not want to do right for the consumer.

Actually it is happening with the Aria Air as well and they are still selling this scale.

I received this useless reply from support. It's exactly how it USED to work, but those options don't exist now.
We'll be glad to help you with your Fitbit scale that is recognizing you as Guest.
Thank you for contacting us via chat. We'd like to let you know that the reasons why the Aria reads you as Guest are because your personal data is entered incorrectly, you've lost/gained 8+ lbs since last weigh-in or the scale isn't setup to your account or sync for a long time.
If your Aria is still recognizing you as GUEST, we'd appreciate if you recalibrate your scale by weighing yourself five consecutive times, but on each weigh-in reassign the GUEST weights to the correct user. To reassign the GUEST weights to the correct user, please follow these steps:
Once the five GUEST weights have been reassigned. please weigh yourself five consecutive times again and the scale should recognize you by your 3rd weigh in, and test for the next days, weighting yourself once at the same time every day. This will force your Aria to recognize you as intended.
Please let us know if your scale is still not recognizing you properly so we can further assist you.

There's several things I could say about that but I want to keep it civil.

Ugh. This is such a frustrating yet validating thread to find. I've been losing my mind trying to get my scale to recognize me as somerhing other than "Guest" and absolutely have tried every suggestion, from every thread - so I'm now to the tossing it option. Fitbit has really lost the plot. I loved them, and have been a premium member for ages - but I think I'm going to spend the next couple months before the membership renews in August evaluating the competition because they've discontinued/phased out - with no notice - every single product I've loved and that works for me, so what's the point?

Google DOES NOT CARE. Seriously, a company that spies on people through their computers, phones, TVs, and other mediums has no ethics, no morals, no scruples, etc. It is all about money. If the scales no longer work then they figure they can force people to purchase new ones. Like people have over a hundred dollars to toss at a scale that should last decades, but will be shut down by Google in about 2 years, so why buy one from them? I would say lets drop the Google Fitbits and move on to something else. Customer service in the United States died a long time ago and will not be coming back until the consumer starts to use their buying power to deprive companies of sales until customer service is what is should be, serving the customers.

Thanks for sharing this. We decided to do that for our Aria, which has been brilliant in the past. We have an odd happening. I had taken myself out of the original Aria when I purchased another one. This was because we thiught it was dead, but when the new one came it resurrected itself till the last month. If I weigh myself on it it shows me my husband’s fat composition with my own weight (checked with the other scale) and calls me by his name. My husband weighs himself, gets his weight and my fat content (!) and calls him my name. Neither went through to his fitbit app. The new Aria air tells me my weight, but nothing else and does not synch with my fitbit app. Tearing our hair out, but coming to the conclusion of many here, buy a different scale, and app.
