Aria set up is not completing

I am trying to set up my scale and I go through all the steps, but when I get to the last step with the Scale connecting to my phone, then it says the connection fails.  I have tried it numerous times on my phone and on my computer.  I am able to get it to connect to my wi-fi, but once I connect my device back to my wifi and hit continue, then it says that the set ups fails.  Any help is appreciated.

@brianna1234 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! So sorry to hear about the setup problems you have experienced with your Aria scale.

 

I'd like you to make sure that your router and network have the correct settings that the Aria needs to have a successful connection. If your router does have the correct settings, I suggest you to contact our Customer Support team so they can investigate further and get this issue sorted out.

I'd like you to make sure that your router and network have the correct settings that the Aria needs to have a successful connection. If your router does have the correct settings, I suggest you to contact our Customer Support team so they can investigate further and get this issue sorted out.

@brianna1234 if you can, it's a lot easier setting up via the pc app rather than the phone, as the pc app does the network switching automatically. Just a thought if you've not tried it yet.

I followed all the instructions. Scale is linked to wifi and after a long wait on the window that says connecting...it then says set-up not complete, try again.

 

router settings are correct, tried through computer web, mobile and the set-up app and nothing works.

 

any idea how i can troubleshoot?

I am having the same issue. I just purchased it 2 weeks ago and connected just fine. Brought it with me abroad and it won't reconnect. Tried iPad & phone & two different routers. Recognizes network but fails to complete last step.

@iOpenerMD It's great to see you in the Community! I would like to assist you and help you with this issue. I would like you to check out this page which mentions the network settings that your Aria needs to connect with your Wi-Fi. Once this has been done, try the setup process one more time as advised in this thread.

 

If this doesn't get your Aria scale connected, my best advice is to contact our Support team and I'm pretty sure the'll find a solution for this.

I am having the same set-up issues.  I have been trying for days.  I have tried EVERYTHING mentioned...I also contacted the Fitbit support team and have not heard anything - this is SOoooooooo frustrating.

Thank you. They reached out. I followed the instructions. The cable company changed the frequency and I tried all the other steps. I still can't get it to set up so I am returning it to the store. I love my Fitbit watch the Scale just did not work out for me.

I am getting to the last step too. The scale just says "Joining........." and the website page says "connecting......" but then it seems to time out.

 

I've tried all the tips on here.

This was not an issue in my old place. Just now that I've moved apartments and have a new wifi network.

 

I have a choice of 5G and 2G. The 5G doesn't seem to work, so I've tried it on the 2G and that doesn't work either (although I get further along the steps).

 

It is INFRUIATING. I don't know why this set up process can't be easier. Please can someone reach out and tell me how to fix this. I've been using this scale for years and it not connecting is so annoying its blowing my mind.

Hi. I had to call fitbit tech team on this. They may be able to replace
your aria if it really doesnt work. Thanks
