Aria shows a "Sensing, Thinking" message

I just changed the batteries in my Aria scale and did a re-set because it keeps saying "step up Active" and then Hi, sensing, then step off and won't say "thinking" unless I pick it up.  Very frustrating, anyone else experiencing this?  Any fixes?
