Yesterday I bought a Fitbit aria air at least that's what the box says!

when I google it or look for set up video's it looks like I got a normal aria?

I cant set it up on the app? or on whatever I find online to set it up with?

I also get this message as I have seen other complaints about.

Aria: hi

I would bring it back and get the scale that you paid for. That sounds like the original Aria that was probably sitting on a shelf somewhere.

How can i find out if its the right one?

@marilynlucinda   Here are some quick ways to tell the scales apart

  • The original Aria has a chrome ring on the display surface and takes 4 AA batteries: needs wi-fi to set up
  • The Aria 2 has that same chrome ring and takes 3 AA batteries; needs wi-fi to set up
  • The Aria Air has a smooth glass surface;  sets up entirely on your phone

If you tap on the HELP link on any page, you can get more details on any/every device, with a little work.

@marilynlucinda   When you say you brought it back, it's sounds like you got your scale from a local retailer.  This is what I think happened.  Someone had a broken Aria and bought an Aria Air.  They opened the box very carefully, put the broken scale in the box and resealed it.  They ripped off the retailer.  Same thing happened to me once with a different appliance.  I hope this doesn't change your opinion about Fitbit products.

I bought it at Argos which is famous store for products In the uk! I still haven’t found one that worked 😰

the problem is no stores have them in stock you need to order them first before the store has them for next day collection so I can’t test it out if it works before I buy it!

so far also no happy ending here
I might wait for a sale coming in before I try again!
