Aria shows a "Sensing - Thrinking - Err" message

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Have had the Aria FB201B working fine for 2 years, but suddenly it shows the "Sensing -> Thinking -> Err" message on display. Have tried having the batteries out for several minutes, and even setup from scratch again, but nothing helps. Last sync was on October 24. Please help me Fitbit support.

@KarlHjortshoej It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Aria scale is displaying a "Sensing Thinking ERR" message. Thank you by the way, for troubleshooting this issue before contacting the forums.

I'd like you to make sure that your Aria is placed on an even or flat surface and you are stepping on it barefoot. If these details are already covered, please re-calibrate your Aria by weighing yourself 5 consecutive times and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome and I'll be happy to follow up! Smiley Happy

Didn't Help at all 😞

I’m having the same issue with this error message. My Aria is 4 years old and haven’t had any problems until now. I replaced the batteries yesterday but now keep getting this error message.  I’ve done the setup multiple times, reset my modem and stepped on the scale 5 times in a row.  Is there anything else that I can do other than opening it up to see if there is a hardware problem inside that I can repair or just trashing it?

I'm having the same issue with mine as well. I've taken the batteries out for a month put them back in, it worked great for 2 weeks, then it was back to doing the same thing.

Mine is about a year old & now I can't use it but for 2wks & then it drains the batteries.

@KittyB @Tallon.d  Thank you for participating in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that even though you have tried the recommended troubleshooting steps, your Aria scales are still displaying the same error message. I would like to know these details: Are your scale on a hard surface? Are you guys stepping on the scales barefoot?

Looking forward to your responses!

I have mine on our bathroom floor which is linoleum on concrete. We've not
been using our shower as we're remodeling, so no moisture worries from that.
Yes, always barefoot.
Is there something else we could try?
