are there anyone from Fitbit responding to this issue?
i think it's obvious that this is a wider spread issue.
i've owned my scale for 2 years, 2 years and broke.
at that price... that doesn't sound acceptable.
I hope FITBIT can respond to this query to everyone that has indicated their scale stopped working roughly around the same month of the year...
thank you.

@Tclmac It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Aria scale is displaying a "Sensing Thinking ERR" message. I totally understand how frustrating this has been for you.
If you haven't done so, I'd like you to try the following troubleshooting steps in order to correct this issue: Please restart and re-calibrate your Aria by taking out the batteries for 15 seconds and put them back in. After this, weigh yourself 5 consecutive times. Make sure that your scale is on a hard surface and you are stepping on it barefoot.
If you already tried this, let me know so we can investigate the cause of the issue and assist you accordingly.
See you later!

I have the same issue with my Aria that started a couple of days ago. I tried replacing the batteries and then tried your suggestion as well. I still get the ERR message after five step ons and step offs.
Any other suggestions?

My Aria hasn't provided me with a BF for over a year. I gave up on it. March 3 I did change the batteries and it showed BF for that one day but that was it. Now it's just back to weight only. Very disgusted.

My Aria started doing this about 6 months ago. I gave up and shoved it under the bed. I got it out today and it still does it. Have completed all the recommended steps and STILL ERR message. Do I shove it back under the bed? Feel like chucking it to the kerb and back. Please help me fix it.

@Wdlr I'm sorry for the late response. However, I would like to follow up on the "Sensing Thinking ERR" issue that your Aria is experiencing.
If you haven't done so, please restart and re-calibrate your scale by taking out the batteries for 15 seconds and put them back in. After this, weigh yourself 5 times in a row and see if the error message disappears.
As a side note, make sure that your scale is on a hard surface and you are stepping on it barefoot.
Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀

I spent over an hour reconnecting my scale to my new Comcast WiFi. I called customer service. Who told me it was a Comcast problem. I implemented the workaround that was posted and finally got it connected. And now today, I’m getting a system thinking, Err message. I don’t even care if this thing syncs to Fitbit. I just want it to be a digital scale!!
I also did this. Took the batteries out, waited 15 seconds, weighed myself 5 times on hard surface and barefoot. Still getting same message “Hi, Sensing, Step Off , Err.”

Yes, we've tried it, not working.
you sure it isn't a software update issue?

I’m not sure. I’m on v39. Support didn’t say anything about a software issue. How would I know what version I should be running?

Mine has been doing this exact same thing!! First it started with not recognizing our weights and not recording them. Then it moved to “sensing” over and over day and night draining the batteries. I have done all of the trouble shooting, it’s on flat ground, bare feet, taken a battery out and waited 10 seconds and weighed myself 5 times in a row. Nothing is working. I also have gotten the Sensing-step off- error as well! Help!!!

I am experiencing the same problem as @Tclmac and others and I get the feeling, after reading multiple posts on this, that fitbit support is not giving any other help than just repeating
"Have you tried taking the batteries out and recalebrating the aria"
"Is the aria on a hard flat surface"
It both does not work, and this seems a more common error from the aria. @JuanJoFitbit could you confirm that both options given above is al we can do and if it does not work it means that the aria is broken? Or are there any problemshooting and repair actions we can perform?

Have been experiencing the same issue for the past several months. Stopped using it as it was going through batteries within days. Would like to see some resolution to the issue by fitbit support or compensation to put towards a new purchase. Loved the item but ready to throw it!!

@JuanJoFitbit Can you connect me with someone directly? I've tried all of the steps you have outlined. I paid a lot of money for this scale. I'm in the middle of a weight loss program and need to be able to weigh myself, ideally using the expensive Fitbit scale I bought for this exact purpose. This is my fourth message on this thread about this exact same issue.
