are there anyone from Fitbit responding to this issue?
i think it's obvious that this is a wider spread issue.
i've owned my scale for 2 years, 2 years and broke.
at that price... that doesn't sound acceptable.
I hope FITBIT can respond to this query to everyone that has indicated their scale stopped working roughly around the same month of the year...
thank you.

i seriously suspect this juanjofitbit is a bot and fitbit doesn't really have any customer service...

I haven’t been able to get a body fat % for around 6 months.
now it’s not weighing correctly, despite taking batteries out, cleaning, replacing, re-syncing.
I’ve emailed support, just waiting for a response.
The fitbit team have always been amazing when any of my trackers have broken, the scales are so expensive I’m gutted it’s broken 😩

that is true, when my watch broke, they were very swift in replacing my "pebble".
over the phone non-the-less.
but this "scale-gate" dilemma has been on for so long, and so many people following the thread, and never once a useful, responsive, responsible reply, lead me to think... watch department, service does indeed exist, scale department, service does not exist.

I posted on this forum a couple of weeks ago about the same problem. After seeing no meaningful answers, I called tech support yesterday. I told them about the forum discussions. The only additional suggestion the tech had was to reset the scale and try it again. After she walked me through the reset process, I still got the same ERR message. She said my scale was broken. As the scale was almost three years old, she could not offer any deal on a new one, except overnight shipping on an Aria 2. I reluctantly accepted that offer.

Mine is now doing it too since I changed the batteries yesterday. So irritating!
I bought mine in January 2017 and now 2 years later it's "broken". Customer service says the warranty is finished and offered expedited shipping on an Aria 2. No thanks! Will that one break in 2 years too?

Sounds like a pretty reasonable offer to me. I’d take them up on it.

Not a free scale, just faster shipping on the Aria 2 which is even more expensive than the Aria!

Came here having the same problem on this nice fancy hunk of junk. Why in the hell would anyone buy a second one???!
I tried contacting support though chat. 1 in line. No response in an hour. Try callin sit on hold forever. Seems like a garbage company if thats how tgey are proposing to fix the ERR.

I have had the scale for a little over a year and now mine is giving me the message. Fitbits response.... "we will give you free shipping if you wanna purchase the aria 2"... are you kidding me!!! Fir the price of these things!! I'm not wasting my money! After 5 years of being a Fitbit customer!! I think I'm looking elsewhere!

Having the same issue! Same age of scale and everything. replaced batteries, did the reset thing - still the same thing. It really is unacceptable at the price we pay to not have it last longer than this.

Hi everyone,
This is the last thread I’ll be posting to about this subject. A few months ago, my Aria started having this same problem and I searched for a solution on this forum. I was disappointed to see how many threads and posts there were on the subject. Threads and posts from other disappointed and frustrated people who spent their hard-earned money on this fancy-looking Aria scale. I was extremely disappointed with Fitbit’s response. We paid so much money and you’d think that we’d get a quality product in return. But not only did we not get quality, we got indifferent automated responses as though Fitbit was just giving us the runaround in hopes we’d just give in and buy the Aria 2.
I nearly did give in but I came across a post that said there were other scales that were just as good and less expensive. So, I decided to search Amazon and found an even better scale than Aria. I had thought that because Aria was more expensive, it had to be better — not true! You can read here about the brand I switched to
Good luck to everyone! ☺️
