I changed my batteries reconnected and I keep getting the sensing, thinking, step off err message. My scale is on even tile and I’ve tried multiple time to weight myself five times. That didn’t work so I took batteries out for 10 seconds and repeat. I can’t get pass this err. Anyone have any suggestions?

This is so frustrating, my scales are doing exact same thing and no one seems to have a solution to it. if yours are still under guarantee you are better of returning them, unfortunately mine aren't! I this is in any help to you or anyone else reading it for £19.99 free postage next day delivery are the active era scales, they do exactly the same as fitbit, i stood on them with bluetooth on phone it all sync to my fit bit app and its own app if i wish to use it. so simple many many more functions..£20 under guarantee and works 🙂

Oof, I wish I had suggestions for you but I've had the same issue as well, even after taking out the batteries several times over.

It's a common hardware issue. I just posted about it. It seems to be a defect, as it's the same error on everyone's scales. Fitbit should really own up and replace these faulty scales. Completely disappointed so far with their replies. How can a company sell items and when it's clear there's a defect across many people's scales, just say too bad, we took your money for you expensive scale, buy another.

This is actually the second scale that has given me problems...so frustrating beyond belief. This alone makes me want to switch over to another device and universe of products. Fitbit couldn’t care less - this has been a problem for years and they only want you to go out and buy another.
