The dreaded error for the Aria. I tried the remove battery for 15 seconds, new batteries and the factory reset. I bought the unit 2 years ago and called customer service who tried to sell me the Aria 2 instead. I asked if I could ship it to Fitbit to get this repaired and customer support said - they do not offer repairs.
Wow - the company cannot stand behind their product for more than a year and cannot offer any paid repair solution either. Feels like a bait and switch to me and leaves a very bitter taste.

@silent_lucidity Welcome aboard in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Aria scale stopped working and it's no longer under warranty. The warranty period is good for 365 days starting from the date you set it up. I really appreciate your feedback and comments about this. This info will be forwarded to our team since this helps us to keep improving.
@SunsetRunner Thanks for your help my friend!
I'll be around in case more assistance is needed!

I have hardly ever been more dissatisfied than with this Aria. After trying every solution, ( Thinking, ERR), I then spent 25 minutes with customer support. Their conclusion: your Aria is 13 months old, it's got bad sensors, we don't offer any repairs. I asked if there is any trade in, discount, or customer service department: No. "This is customer support" I was told. Well, isn't there anyone to complain to? "This is customer support". I asked, well, what should I do? "Your Aria is out of warranty ( by 2 months) there is no repair." I asked, well, do I just throw it away? "That's up to you."
Fitbit, it should not cost $12/month to weigh yourself and sync with a Fitbit (which was also expensive), and the only choice is to waste another $130 for the next year. The Aria clearly was a defective product, judging by the number of similar problems on this site. What options are there?

I get it, repairing a device is probably more expensive than replacing it. You have to offer us some kind of discount for buying this scale, which apparently has a lifespan of about a year, and then is a brick. Is there no option other than sending you another $130? Every 13 months?

I think that what you won't tell us is that the development team made a big mistake in the conception or in an update.
I guess that you (Fitbit) have now to pray for that basic and helpless answer to be «accepted» by the hundreds (thousands ?) customers who are having the same issue.

What is Fitbit going to do for us.? If nothing, then tell us nothing and we will spend our money elsewhere. Also, your reputation is getting trashed, here and on other socIal media, so you should address this sooner than later. Glad I don’t own any of your stock. Thanks

Hi! I had the same problem as you and decided to buy a new scale because it looked like Fitbit wasn’t going to do anything. I found one that was much better and less expensive.
