@Jodieblew, is this an Aria 2 or Aria scales?  Can you explain what you mean by "syncing thinking step off err"? Can you explain exactly what step you are at, and what symbol/message you are seeing on the scales?

Or can you attach a picture of the problem you're experiencing?

@Jodieblew Thanks for participating in our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist and help you to find a solution for the "Thinking, step off ERR" message. The information that my friends @USAF-Larry and @DramaQueenDiva are requesting is very useful so we can find a solution. In the meantime, make sure that your scale is placed on a hard or flat surface. Then restart your scale by taking out the batteries for 15 seconds and put them back in. After this, weigh yourself 5 times in a row in order to re-calibrate your scale and see if the error message disappears.

I have this problem too.  I've also noted other posts that say the problem has been around for more than a couple of years.

If the problem has been around for more than a couple years, it has nothing to do with the Aria 2 - this Forum - which has only been around for less than a year.

@mikeynz Thanks for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community! So sorry to hear that your Aria scale is also experiencing the same issue. Please make sure that your scale is placed on a flat surface. Also, try restarting your scale as advised in my previous post and re-calibrate it after the restart process. These workarounds will refresh your scale internally.

@USAF-Larry Thanks a lot for your input my friend!

Also. moving the scale closer to your router may help, so I'm told.

I have tried everything that you have said to do and my scale still comes up with the err. I contacted support earlier and he said it may be because of my password on my wifi having special characters so I changed the password and still I get the same thing.
