Aria stopped syncing in June. Tried all solutions from Fitbit to no evail. Fitbit blamed Comcast for changing wireless router settings. Worthless tech support from Fitbit. All other connected devices in house work just fine.

@RANSMILLER It's great to see you in the Community! Seems odd that your Aria scale quit syncing with your network. I'd like to share Matthew's post which has great troubleshooting steps in order to fix the syncing issues between your Aria scale and your Comcast router.
Keep me posted on the outcome my friend!

I had this problem too. I have been using the Aria since Christmas successfully. All of a sudden I am getting the wifi error. Nothing in my house has changed.

Click on the Matthew solution in the above post. You have to get into wifi router settings, but is probably your solution.

@skinvig Thanks for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community! As my friend @RANSMILLER mentioned, please take a look at Matthew's solution that I shared in my post above.
Let me know how it goes my friend!

I've had an Aria for several years. It stopped syncing about a month ago. No changes made to my wifi settings. I tried and tried to reset it. I even went out and bought a new one. Still couldn't get it to setup. I followed the steps above and it's still not working. What is going on. This is getting frustrating.

If you end up with WiFi ERR, there is one sure bet to beat the error. If you can get into your router's settings and add a static IP (including the Aria's MAC address listed on the sticker in the batter case), the WiFi connection process normally goes without a hitch. In essence, the original error is resulting from the Aria being unable to successfully grab an IP address and store it's MAC address, but this method basically fools the scale into thinking it is already been connected. Just make sure you pick an IP address that isn't being used. There is usually a list of utilized IP addresses somewhere in your router settings.
I used this method with the Verizon FiOS router just now due to the same WiFi ERR message and the connection process went through on the first try.

I have checked the router settings and 802.11b is enabled. I am not using a comcast router. What other ideas do people have now???

My Aria 1 Scale stopped syncing. After reading many posts and trying multiple things, it seems that if we want to keep our WIFI networks working well, we need to move to a newer scale rather than bring our WIFI backwards to accommodate aria. Does anyone know if Aria 2 moves away from the 802.11b or does aria 2 have this same issue?

I concur with your thoughts. Moved on to an apple watch in December and seems I will be moving on to a scale compatible with Apple Health now.

@SophiaF It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I want to follow up with the connection issues you've experienced with your Aria scale. Please let me know what is the brand, make and model of your router. In the meantime, check out if your router con run the mixed mode (b/g/n). This mode also allows the scale to connect with your network. Also, check out if the bandwidth is 2.4GHz.
@jmurphy791 I noticed that you joined our Fitbit Community recently. Welcome aboard! I would like to help to turn the bad experience you have with your scale into a good experience. Please let me know what is the make and model of your router. Also, I would like to know if you made changes to your network such as router, router settings or WiFi password. This info will help me to provide a solution for you.
@dadsafrantic Hope you're doing great! I appreciate your input and comments. Don't hesitate to get back if more assistance is needed my friend!
See you all later guys!

I spent the majority of last night trying to fix my Wifi and figure out why I got "Wifi Err" all of a sudden. I completely RESET my network, new SSID and password and still "Wifi Err." I tried a combination of different passwords and still nothing. Frustrating.
I finally fixed the issue however! I created a hidden guest network without any password and BAM it connected immediately!
Seriously FitBit WTF? Why did it stop working all of a sudden? NOTHING on my network changed.

@blackguard I'm sorry to hear that your Aria scale also displayed a "WiFi ERR" message. However, I'm glad to hear that you resolved the issue and your Aria connected properly. Regarding your inquiry, I believe there was a little glitch in the Aria scale.
In case the issue happens again, let me know what is the make and model of your router and I'll be happy to further investigate.
Keep me posted!

Same issue. Did you find the answer in another thread? I'm still looking and see nothing but this 'Access Denied"

So I figured out the wifi situation. I don't know why their customer support didn't just say this (or if they know it?). You just change your router 2.4ghz settings to include the b band. Most modern routers default to g/n only now because b is unregulated, slow, a short range, and came out in the 90's.
Anywho, for future people coming here that is the solution. Just log into your router and where your wifi settings are change the 2.4ghz frequency to include the b band (if your router allows that, I imagine newer ones do not).
As for other devices there are plenty of options. My watch is from a company that also makes marine and aviation navigation tools. Many mobile phone manufacturers also include a lot of these same biometrics now as well.
In the end I'll probably replace this scale with another company's product when it dies because of the support I received. When I tried to start a chat it said the last representative was busy and that I should call. I hate phone jail support calls so I waited an hour and tried again...same message (I imagine it is the only message), so I called. Their solution was "call your ISP". That's really pathetic hardware support.
