I like lots of others it seems am having the ERR message appear all of a sudden. I’ve read through the threads and tried all of the fixes. The scales worked one day, and not the next - nothing has changed and there is plenty of batter life. The hopping on and off five times didn’t work, neither did taking out the batteries, waiting, then replacing. I tried to reset, but that didn’t work and also tried putting it upside down for a bit. I really hope that since people were posting about this in 2018 that Fitbit have had enough time to come up with a solution that works!

They haven’t. You’re in the same boat as the rest of us, soon to be shopping for a new scale.
