Aria turns on when I’m not using it.

Aria reacts to vibrations in the floor, causing it to turn on when I’m not using it. I’ve had to start storing it which causes it to read inaccurately the first time I step on. Sometimes it doesn’t register that I’ve selected my name. It is on a hard floor and I’ve tried tile vs vinyl and nothing changes.

Hello @KLefebvre

I understand your Aria scale sometimes comes on because of vibrations on the floor so you started to store it up off the floor. (By the way I experience the same thing when the military base I live near has artillery exercises…Bless our Troops 😉) Its a great idea to store it off the floor to save on battery life so I completely understand. Just know that when you move the scale back to the floor you should wait several minutes first before standing on it to get your current weight. These extra mins give the scale time enough to recalibrate. Getting on the scale too early can give you inaccurate readings as your describing. So try giving it a few mins first.

Use these tips to get the most accurate and consistent readings from your scale:
1. Use the Aria while barefoot. The scale cannot measure body fat percentage if you’re wearing shoes or socks.
2. Make sure your feet are dry before weighing yourself.
3. Place the scale on a hard, flat surface during use. Using the scale on a soft
surface - like carpet or linoleum - may affect the accuracy of the Aria's
readings.
4. Balance your weight evenly between both feet while standing on the scale.
5. Weigh yourself at the same time each day to see consistent trends. Your
weight and body fat percentage will naturally vary over the course of the day.
6. If your Aria is picked up and moved between measurements, or stored
sideways against a wall when not in use, the scale will go through a calibration process the next time it is used for weighing. Up to two consecutive weigh-ins will then be required before your scale is recalibrated and again displays consistently accurate measurements. You will know that your Aria is calibrating when you see the "SENSING" message appear on the screen.

😃 I hope my post adds some clarity to your issue and provides you with an answer. Please let me know
