Aria weight accuracy issues

There are days when I can hop on my Fitbit Aria 5 times in a row and I get the same exact weight down to the decimal or maybe off by 0.1 at most which is amazing -- accurate as the product should be.

Then there are days when I can hop on 10 times in a row and get completely different values with a 1-2 lb swing... and the more I step on the more random the values seem (i.e., hard to get to an average or see where the numbers might be clustering or even which number shows up most as there is no consistency). Over the past few months, it seems like this happens roughly half of the days.

My scale is in the same spot (tiled bathroom), has decent battery left, and weights are measured in as consistent fashion as possible (not consciously moving scale around, don't wear any clothes, etc.).

What would be causing this? I would expect it to be precise 100% of the time and would know something is wrong if it's not accurate 100% of the time, but what is making it accurate half the time and inaccurate the other half? That just doesn't seem to make sense to me... any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
